This coming June will mark my third-year anniversary as a member of the Wealthy Affiliate Community. In my mind, I started this endeavor quickly and established myself as an active member of the community. I had no idea what I was doing, but I rose in the member rankings to the top 20. More importantly, I had several websites in development and I was on the right track to Wealthy Affiliate success. Or so I thought.

To be brief, I have had an eventful time since June 2017. I had a job loss, my wife suffered a stroke and is still in the recovery stage and, most recently, both of my parents passed away. Cumulatively, these have called a virtual halt to my work in the community and to the development of my websites.
So today, I examined my About McWord posting and noted that it bears little resemblance to my life of two and a half years ago, when I wrote it. Obviously, a lot has happened in the interim and I’m not the same person I was. Yet I’m still here, still a member of the community, and I still have the fervent hope and assurance that this business is my future. And not only my own future, but my family’s future.

I’m still in the community, slowly getting back up to speed and I welcome any and all communications from you and wish you all the best!

The 20-30 hours a week won't start until the end of July, when I go back to work. For the next month, I'm looking at 60 - 70 hours a week. I really want to get off to a good start!

From the start, I have written training for every issue I had problems with myself. I made an addition for After The Walkthrough. Also a list of 1001 niche ideas, a checklist with 25 points to go through before you publish a post, 101 blogging ideas when you get stuck and an A-Z WA dictionary. I just love lists:) It has been very helpful to a lot of people. I have listed them in one blog you can find on my profile. I only have one word: wow!!! I have received a ton of assistance from the WA Community and I was hoping to stumble onto a mentor. In my professional life (code for "employee") I am, among other things, a teacher and mentor. One thing I teach my students is to seek out a mentor. I am huge on mentorship and I have found that employee retention increases when mentorship is utilized.

I will definitely check out your lists and let you know how they are helping me! Also, I would welcome any comments you may have on the few blogs I have written so far.

Welcome to WA - lots to learn here- stay focused - go through the Certification Courses first - you will get confused or frustrated from time to time - ask lots of questions - people are here to help you. 

HERE ARE 3 WA'ers Training Posts - they helped me - one is vocabulary you use here - one is a detailed use of your dashboard to find anything you will need - one is a plug-in to add to WordPress - that will help you build your sties. Hope they help - they did me This one I wrote - deals with how to "close" for the result you want. Stay with it - you don't need a wish of good luck - you need a plea to study the material and stay at it no matter what - it will change your life and hopefully the people you touch with your message.
