Yes, I get what you're saying, Paul. But my About Me page is meant for visitors to my site and really it's not meaningful to anyone else. I'm trying to enable visitors to see me as a person but on Google it's out of context and people will come across it only by chance. How many people search for About Me?

You also can think of the Privacy Policy not to be indexed

Margaret if you want people to trust you, it would be a good idea to have an about me page.. but you don't have to use your original name.. you can use a pen name.. and the privacy policy has to be on the page.. part of googles rules.. just my thoughts.. its upto you though..

Yes, I have both pages. I've used my first name and have added a photo - of me. As you say, I want people to trust me, and I want to come across as a person, not just a website. But what I write there is meant for the people who choose to visit my page, not the internet in general.

To me the Privacy Policy is not personal so I don't mind it being indexed, though I can't see in any point in indexing it.

Do you use All in one SEO? Scroll down below your article then you will be able to see "Robots Meta NOINDEX" just under the Description.

No, I'm using Yoast. I remember seeing that in All in one SEO but Yoast doesn't have that option.

I can't find the little blue crown. All I get is a page asking me to register. Even if I needed to register there's no crown that's needed.

Try and reinstall the program - I know it i real pain to find the little blue icon and can be to right top left bottom right bottom left and seems to hide it'self

I can have trouble with light switches, too. My computer is only 18 months old so I hope I can fix the trouble. I did find the Windows troubleshooter and have gone through part of it - had to restart so I left the rest. I'll go back to it if this doesn't work

I've wondered about switching to Linux but I don't know where I'd find time to learn a new OS. My computer's only 18 months old so I can't blame its age for the problem. I do have some older software installed so I'm going to remove some or even all of that. Unfortunately, one programme is Word 2003, which I really like and don't want to replace. I use it a lot and it might be causing trouble.

I have an interest in the computing field (not qualified at all) so I find change easy BUT it does take time and it is not worth changing over unless you want to make it happen.

I still run my laptop on Win10

Well we both know the answer: $$$$ So they stuff around with new versions and it takes years to get rid of the bugs.
