First Month

My name is Lakeya McEachron and this is officially my first time posting to my blog roll on WA, in spite of being advised to from day one. I did not because I wanted to get a better feel before I started jotting away. It's been 30 days since I've been with WealthyAffiliate and I now feel comfortable enough to truly state my progress and feelings.

Week 1: Honeymoon Phase

The first week will probably be one of the best weeks I'll have until I make my first commission-LOL. I was excited over every hurdle and step. I followed the training, which took me step by step and allowed me to build this wonderful website (www.dabaddestwitch.com), I learned some new skills and I felt like I could conquer the world.

Week 2: Wake-up in Vegas

This was the point where I had one hundred percent high hopes. I planned my whole future out in my head. Finally, I found a program that actually helped me get started. Well truth is I did, but my website looked like a train wreck had hit it. The pages were out of place, I couldn't describe what I needed help with, so it was getting help was frustrating. I even discovered my local library that I haven't been to in years. Eventually, I found myself on YouTube, which put me a better position to explain what I need help with. Needless to say, but I'm still here. Thanks to the WA Support Team, they were more than patient with me.

Week 3: Discovering the Writer

By the third week of training, it pretty much smoothed over. We become one again. The new challenge that developed was more of a personal challenge which was writing. I know how do I want to be a blogger and writing is my issue. The answer is simple, I love to talk and just hate to write. But If I am going to be successful I must get out of my own way and conquer my fears. I'll consider that started.

As I was stating, writing became the challenge. What to write? Is it good enough? Who wants to read about this topic? Oh, and I can't forget When to write (literally). Within my goals, I stated that I wanted to post every other day. I can proudly state that so far I have been able to maintain the schedule that I set for myself. Being a mother of five, scheduling time to write can get crazy. I find myself up in the middle of the night some nights just so I can zone into my work.

When it came to my insecurities about my writing, I say a phrase to myself and then continue to write. Forget their feelings! I say it a bit more aggressive, but whatever works -- works. I know you are thinking how can you say forget their feelings when you are supposed to be writing for them. My response would be, it's easy. I said forget their feelings, because no matter how we feel about what Kyle and Carson is teaching us, we can't remake their wheel. Not everyone is going to like or agree with your content, so why stress that portion. I write as if I was talking to people who actually wants to hear what I have to say. It is getting easier by the day.

Week 4: The End of the Month

So, now we are at the present day and I have finally made it through a month. Although, I had a lot of ups and downs and times when I wanted to break my computer. I feel more accomplished than anything as I watch my blog develop. I love the SiteComment section, it really helps boost your ego when it comes to your work. Thanks to those who supported my blog with a comment. I look forward to the next step of training. Making money!

My Accomplishments:

• Built a 10 page website,
• Added 13 Post to my sites,
• Received 13 comments,
• Indexed with Google 4 times,
• Joined 4 affiliate programs, and
• I went premium.

Going premium is something you should consider if you haven't already done so. It is a great asset to have on this journey of blogging. I have saved so much money due to going premium with WealthyAffiliate. Yes, the answers are out there, but it is frustrating try to find them, especially without going broke. WealthyAffiliate has provided a way for that to happen. It's a blessing in disguise.
