New Ranking level - Top 200
I know that in and of itself, ranking is not everything on Wealthy Affiliate.
But I am actually thrilled and delighted. Today I am in the Top 200.
One could argue that it took me nearly 4 years which is when I joined WA. Then I dabbled a bit and did not have much success. And I certainly wasn't thinking straight in those days - "stinking thinking" is a phrase I heard somewhere from someone. I think I expected more to come to me. More money, more opportunity, more wealth, more inspiration etc. But I wasn't doing enough work so that was unlikely to happen.
I lost my mojo; my purpose, and lost sight of my aims by failing to plan. Consequently, I stopped logging in, stopped posting, stopped learning and stopped participating. Unsurprisingly, nothing happened.
About 14 days ago I decided to revisit the site and return to the training and learning. I asked a question and received such brilliant advice for which I am extremely grateful. I am grateful to everyone that took time to respond to my query. I realised that I am not alone on this journey.
But while I did other things and avoided reality, all the members and the Wealthy Affiliate platform still went on without me. I felt like I was on my own but really I could have asked my question much earlier. And it may have saved me 3 years!
So on the 13th January, I started participating again here on Wealthy Affiliate. I made more contacts and responded to people who had followed me. I started reading more individual member blogs as I got to learn people's writing and training style. And I believe I commented here and there if I felt I could help. I went from the rank of 13300 to the Top 200 in 2 weeks and I believe it is all because I am participating more. Simply being more active by putting more in and taking more out. And I feel good.
My inspiration and writing have increased and I am currently working on a new domain for which I can write fairly easily and frequently.
Like the baby in the header picture, I feel reborn. But taking baby steps to work with the program properly this time.
I am feeling energised and once again, grateful for this wonderful community that is Wealth Affiliate.

Great work Michael, congratulations on your ranking.
But as you say, ranking here may feel good in the short term, being able to help, give support and praise success is extremely important.
Just don't let it get in the way of your own success. Spending ones time blogging and expanding your own businesses is ultimately why we are here.

Max, I'm so thrilled to see you taking those strides. The good book says, "in the multiplicity of counsel, there is safety." You took the pieces of advice we gave you to heart and applied it and now you are in the 200th. But above all, you found your mojo!
Just keep taking those baby steps consistently and the sky will be the limit.
