I am thinking about doing a weekly news letter for my blog. I sited and linked my sources to their respective sites on where I got my info. I know Google doesn't like linking t

I often went to read some of Neil Patel stuff and I have notice that he has a lot of external links as well as internal ones.

He has external links because he often refer to what others have said to back up his own opinions in his articles.

The thing I don't know though, is if he's using a plugin to make sure that those external links are "no follow" so it doesn't send away SEO juice sort of speak, out of his site.

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question

My pleasure

One of our own WA trainers, Jay, says that adding one link to an authoritative website is good, as well as one internal link to another page or post on your site. Both those things will help your Google rankings.

Thank you for taking the time out to answer my question

Hey Al,

While offering sources can be a great idea, you do not have to make the URLs live. Just a thought...

Hope this helps you.

Got ya, so I can site with out linking. I just like to be as transparent as possible. Will that hurt my site if I do keep having the URLs live?

Offering sources adds to credibility, so YES!

Linking is NOT necessary as a visitor can highlight the URL, right-mouse click and open the link. Offering live links offers a means for your website visitors to LEAVE your website. Ya' don't wanna' be doing that... right.

Very good call! Thank you for the insight :)

I know how to insert the affiliate link within text no problem. I am trying to get the product picture in the page itself. I am at a loss.

it must be the HTML version of the code you're uploading hence the code showing up on the blog Al. You can simply download the image and use it as the upload itself, then put the affiliate link within that picture. Do note that you should take the affiliate link itself OUT of the HTML option. This may sound confusing, but perhaps this tutorial should clear it up: Let me know if this works.

That's just about where I am at with my certification. I had to have been a little more tired than I thought last night because I did not even think to just put the link in the picture. He even explains it in the video. Oh boy haha. Thanks for the help!

No problem.

Hi,

If your have s picture ready hit the upload image button.

When blogging at the top you will see you can choose from 1 million pictures.

Let me know if that works.

Thank you for taking the time out to help. The picture I am referring to is when I go to copy the affiliate link and bring it to my blog. I am looking to see how the picture will come up. So far I am pasting the code and getting nothing but code everywhere in my blog.

I know how to add pictures into the post itself, but how do I add pictures on the intro to the post to entice people to open it up and read it?

Featured Image, find it on the right side of the WordPress editor of your post or page.

Holy smoke I can't believe I didn't figure that out! I've been going nuts! Thank you so much!
