Fellow WAers,

When we use SiteContent to write and publish our content, is it possible to schedule the post - or publish it in a draft mode in WordPress for further proc

Hi, Diane got you covered.

If you edited a document in site content and published it, future edits has to be done in WordPress. Site content and WordPress work independently.

I'd place my images in a document in site content and publish it to my site. it will be added to my WordPress media library.

You can't schedule publishing posts through Site Content but WordPress:

Under Status & Visibility, click on Immediately (right to the Publish option). A date and time picker is shown. Select the date and time when you want to publish your post.

After that, you will notice that the Publish button changes to Schedule button. Click on it and you're good to go.

Tom

Looks like Diane answered your question. Do you have additional questons?

Hi - no, it's not possible. You can write the content and leave it unpublished, ready to publish when you want but you can't schedule it to do it by itself. Or you can publish it and then immediately go to WordPress to put it in draft mode.

Hello there Wealthy Affiliates!

I'd like to ask whether I should write what my audience wants or what I feel comfortable about writing in my blog posts?

Thanks!

Why is what your audience wants different from what you feel comfortable writing about? I think pretty much any passion can be turned into a successful niche. Why wouldn't you be comfortable writing in the niche you chose? If you're not happy with the topic you're discussing, your audience will pick that up in the tone.

To me, the main goal of creating content is to connect with my audience and use that connection to help them. To do that, I find the intersection between what they want to read and what I'm able/willing to write about.

I was referring to my niche. I never thought of writing outside my niche. I guess, in that case, I should have changed my niche :)

Thanks :)

Write to capture the attention of the audience, but if you have a passion for your niche it should come through in your writing . So in a sense you should really be doing both. Jim

True that too, Jim.

Thanks :)

I like WordPress's function of scheduling a post for later and I was wondering whether I could do that using "Site Content". And if yes, how?

Be nice if this could be introduced at sometime in the future.

Good advice from Joe :)

This is great feature to have. Unfortunately, we are not able to schedule post at the moment. I would suggest, if the post kind of ready to be published, just publish it to wordpress and edit the post there and schedule it when you want it to be live.

:)
Joe

This is what I am actually doing right now :)
It would be nice to have the option to schedule the post from Site Content Directly. Or save the post to WP as draft and edit it from there :)

Hi everyone!

I would stick to one then when I am am authority on it start the second.

I don't consider myself "authority" in any of those sub-niches. I happen to know better the ereaders sub-niche :)

I think these can be two different audiences. Personally, I would choose the writing/publishing one. But there's nothing that says that you cannot write some stuff for the reading audience along the way.

Choosing one sub-niche and audience is easier to manage. And you are focusing on one kind of person when writing your content: someone who is interested to write and publish his (her) own ebooks. This is just my opinion and vision of things.

Thanks, I might go for this - anyway, I started the blog to help a friend self-publish her own ebook, so it makes sense :)

I think you have the perfect target audience :)

Hey, Marios.
I love your idea. Very interesting and I bet a lot of people will be attracted to it.

As a business strategy, I would choose one of the two sub-niches and would explore it, making it profitable.

Then, when you get to the point of expanding your business, I would go for the second sub-niche.

This way, I believe you can better focus on one audience at a time and maximize results.

Eilane,

I'll consider it. I think that both sub-niches are profitable.

Thanks for the advice and for stopping by (:

You're welcome.

All the best.

I can see the two could be inter-related so they fit into the niche you are currently working on.

All the best.

Joe

Hi Joe,

Thanks for the insight - and for stopping by (:
