From Kyle training I had bookmarked DMOZ when I opened my bookmarked link today http://searchengineland.com/dm... I was told they have closed. What is the substitute for DMOZ.

Any suggestions please.

Didn't know

The announcement with contingencies here! http://www.dmoz.org/

A sad day. We taught DMOZ for years as it was actually a really good resource for finding niches and coming up with new ideas.

There are many other mediums over the years that have replaced it, but DMOZ is one of those nostalgic platforms for me. :)

Any suggestions

Looks like Davida has your answer.

Not what really what DMOZ did those are just forums

Gotcha!

changed their link or just combined with another site. I used to use them as reference and hadn't in a while

Too bad. but maybe there is a blog post someone can write on their demise.

Who is willing we read about it as a community

Hi Martin, a real shame. Irv.

Any option

None that I know of. You may have to search the net for a suitable replacement.

That's a shame as DMOZ was very good. Xx

Imagine after 19 years in service so sad

That really is such a shame. Xx

Hey, Martin, did not know, thank you for the info, will look into it and give any suggestion. Also, Kyle is updating all the training during this year, so I know he will catch it and suggest an alternative.

Bishop

Thanks to hear that he is updating all the training this year.
