Four Categories to User’s Intent

I am going to discuss the four main categories to the user’s intent, and what kind of stage they are at in the cycle. The first is navigational intent, this is someone that has a product in mind, and they know a specific website and directly go there.

The second one would be informational intent; this would be someone looking for a product but do more of a general search to see what comes up and goes from there. The third intent is transactional intent, which means that someone wants to sign up for a newsletter or subscribe to products and sales pages.

The fourth one will be tricky but a combination of both navigational and informational intents. Let us dive in and see what value these categories have for customers' values and intents.

Navigational Intent-

This is going to be someone that already knows what they want and need with a specific website in mind. (Elisa Gabbert Blog/ 2021) says that you do not stand much of a chance targeting navigational research unless you are on that specific website. Unless you are that website then this is not that good in revenue. For the most part, this is good to see what the trends are of what they are looking up and go off of those keywords or products.

Informational Intent-

The intent from the searcher would be more of a general idea of the product or service they are looking up. They would look up specific keywords and in the search engine and see what comes up. They are looking for information do they got a specific question. Having a certain product, they want to know about says, (Marieke van de Rakt). Founder of Yoast and want others to understand the four users’ intents. Google goes for with the intent of the user and it knows what you are trying to look up such as (mercery), they know your meaning the planet, not the element. These tend to be better with conversions if you rank number one in the search engine with either paid advertising or just SEO using keywords with organic searches.

Transactional Intent-

They are in buying mode and have specific want and searching it will result in a sale, subscription, call-to-action buttons. In, (Roger-MozBot’s /2019), an article he talks about transactional intent has navigational and local intent embedded within the funnel. This will have things like how much (keyword), and where to get (keyword) in (location), (keyword) near me. Structured content like this will convert to sales and subscriptions also, have higher conversions because they know what they want. Roger gave us a tip you can buy a keyword mixer to add modifiers so that you do not have hurt your fingers typing.

Commercial Intent-

In this category, they will be a combination of navigational and informational intent of the user. Roger says that commercial intent will be a comparison of the information that they have gathered up. They are looking for different options of the product or service so that they can make an informed decision on the product or service. Zeroed in and doing comparison research their searches might look something like, best (product name), what is the top (product name). It is your job to structure and write useful content making sure that when they look up that keyword, they are receiving their answer.

Conclusion-

With all these categories you will see that they all play some part in the research and intentions of the users and customer value. Customer value is what they perceive the product or service with the help of your article giving them the answers to their questions. If you fail to meet what they are asking for then you will not get commissions.

The goal is to match up with what the reader is asker for or looking for in an article. It is on you to do diligence in doing research and portray it in a readable manner with videos to bullet point and color schemes. For them to decide if this is the website I want to buy from and share with others if your educational or helpful content reaches others, you are doing your job right.

There are many good points that were made but implementing SEO strategies and using them can hurt you, and can make you be number one on (SERP). The goal is to have others follow you and to do this you must be an informative writer to get your content to the right searcher.

Cheers,

Mathew&Deloris

Knowing the customers' intent is paramount to getting a sale.
