I'm not sure I understand your question 100%, but it sounds like you're asking if the site comment is necessary. If that's correct, I would say it is helpful to get eyeballs and comments on your articles which will help your rankings.
It is possible to have affiliate links in your post and can lead to sales if presented to the right person. You can also sell your art at the same time and make 💰

In affiliate marketing, you make money promoting a merchants product. Affiliate links are how you monetize as each link is unique to you as the affiliate marketer.

Of course you can sell your own products. Some do both as long as it is relevant to the niche.

Hi - yes, once you have built your website, Google needs to find it which is called indexing. This can take from a couple of days to a couple of weeks. You will get an email when it happens.

Following on from that, each post you write will be ranked, but this is a long process. Do be aware that this is not a get rich quick scheme, and most people don't see any income at all for at least 3 months.

Your site will eventually be a money maker for you, once it's built and running correctly. You can build your site and promote WA at the same time to generate income as well. Don't focus on the 💰 as much as helping visitors who land on your site. As you help others, the 💰 will find you. Let me know of you need more help getting started.

Labman is right, you can always engage using different method to get traffic to your site. Some use email and/or social media to promote their site.

It will take some time to generate income on your site. You can speed up indexing (not ranking) by submitting the site to your Google Console.
