Hi, WA friends! It's time for the next update.

1. Three New Posts

I've published three new posts:

- 12 Disgusting Ways To Save Money In The Kitchen

I really enjoyed writing this as it reflects my philosophy. Even my mother-in-law was happy to contribute and read it once it was published. This post maybe brought one Amazon commission for now, but a lot of traffic through Pinterest, so maybe also a couple of bucks from Google Adsense.

- The Best Survey Websites Roundup

I felt that it's a long time due one for my type of niche. This post made me a whooping $12 till now, from promoting it on Social media.

- How Behavioral Finance Helps You With Financial Decision Making

I wrote this post based on a webinar I listened to at work. This topic actually is from my financial background and MBA studies. My hope is to help people start taking action and save / invest money as soon as possible. It's also exciting to understand how human brain works.

2. My very first WA training

As I keep using Pinterest as one of the main ways to bring traffic, I had to create a tool for tracking my manual pinning in easy and effective way, without using any paid tool.

So I made a nice Excel spreadsheet that I use every day. I found it so useful that I decided to share it with WA friends and mad my first WA training.

3. Pinterest Progress

I keep growing my Pinterest account. I've crossed the 100 followers mark and get up to more than 44k monthly views. The views are not the ultimate measure as it includes the views of my pins and the other's pins I re-pinned to my boards.

I got approved to several more boards in Personal Finance domains. Sometimes it takes weeks and months from the application to approval, but it's OK.

I think I'm getting better at creating the pins as several of my recent pins get thousands of impressions and hundreds of clicks to my website.

Here is one example (probably baby face is a good promotional material):

This baby has more than 16k impressions and probably at least 250 clicks (the stats on the picture are for last 30 days only).

What I like about Pinterest is that you can use it to bring traffic to the posts that are not getting ranked by Google because of not being focused on specific keyword, like the roundups.

My Facebook page crossed 50 followers (some from WA). Thank you!

4. The First Featured Post and Backlink

I've submitted three of my posts to an online journal Womens Money Talk and one post was featured!

This is my first real back link and I'm quite happy about it :).

It brought maybe sevral dozens of readers, not too much but still nice to have!

What To Improve

My recent posts are getting readers through Pinterest, but not from organic searches. Probably this is how it is with more general or competitive keywords.

I've noticed that only 3 of my 26 posts really get organic traffic.

And guess what? All three are reviews, very focused on one subject. One is on the first page on Google and occasionally earns me 75 cents per lead.

My other reviews get impressions but not clicks, as they don't rank high for their keywords.

Action Item: write more reviews. Even though I enjoy writing more broad and abstract articles, but reviews are the organic traffic drivers. I've already started the review of an investment app. Hope to get it ranked for some keywords.

Another thing on my To-Do list is writing a welcome series for my email subscribers. Can't get to it.. Sigh..
