Do your site visitors feel pain?

I have been marketing on the world wide web for more than 20 years, but just recently decided to begin affiliate marketing. Regardless of the type of marketing there is one universal truth.

Visitors only get their credit cards out and buy for two reasons:

  1. Desire for pleasure
  2. Relief from pain.

Of the two, relief from pain is by far the strongest.

If the product you are selling online does not do one of these things your probability of success is almost zero.

Think about every purchase you have made online. Which of these reasons made you click the "Buy Now" button?

When you select a product to sell online give it the pleasre/pain test before doing anything else.

It can save you a lot of pain in the end.

Most people are looking for a solution to a problem that gives them various levels of pain. The stronger the pain the more likely they will click the BUY button. I totally agree with you. Thanks for raising awareness of this fact.
