SiteRubix Site Update
Hey there!
Although there's not really much to report, I figured I should still post this update.
I've had a little bit of traffic to the site, not much though. I think most of it is from within WA too.
For example, using siteComments and sharing with others.
I'm not really sure what to post in these sort of articles so if you want to see some specific stats, let me know. The site isn't making any money yet because I haven't monetized it yet.
My goal right now is to get traffic to the site. Bare in mind that I just created this site a couple weeks ago.
Here's the traffic stats:
So as you can see my sessions and users have gone down in the passed 7 days. I did slack off for a while as I had to work on my main site.
What I find interesting is that the Session Duration has increased a lot. Don't really get how it can increase when Bounce Rate increased.
I'm just glad to know people out there are enjoying my guide and writing so far. It really means a lot since I do all the writing for this site.
Here's another stat I found really interesting.
Here you can see that 75% of my traffic is the United States as expected but I did not expect 25% to be from India. It always feels really cool to know that people far far away are reading my content, lol!
Anyways, that's about all I have to show you right now. I know it's not much but I want to show you that there isn't much to show at the beginning.
Hopefully I can get some rankings as this keyword and niche is a little bit more competitive than I thought it would be, lol.

And also, keep in mind that your niche is probably really narrow...meaning there shouldn't be a lot of competition. You could go from total obscurity to #1 ranked in a very short amount of time...you wouldn't want to miss all those potential sales!
That's my goal next is to get the traffic to the site. I discovered the other day that the majority of the traffic was actually me checking things on my site when it is live. So someone in chat showed a couple of us how to remove our IP address from Google Analytics and now my traffic has dropped right off but at least now I'll have a more accurate reflection of what is occurring!
lol, yeah, same here. It's a letdown but keep up the good work! :) If you don't mind sharing, how do you turn on that filter?

I loved your hermit crab site! I would advise you to start monetizing it NOW. There is no reason to wait. You never know if the people seeing it might actually go on to buy something and you are missing out on those potential sales.
I would start small and easy with something that can be purchased from Amazon. I say this because chances are something you recommend may be available on Amazon and once people get there from your link anything else they buy will get you a commission! I have a lot of sales of non-related items such as clothing and small electronics like iPhone accessories which have nothing to do with my cat products. If someone clicks on your link to look at a crab terrarium and remembers, "Oh, I was going to order a coffee maker" you just got a commission.
Pet products earn an 8% commission now on Amazon, so if they do order one of your products the commission isn't bad. It used to be lower.
