SAC Update 4-27-2019
I'm coming to you today with my April 21 - 27, 2019 results for SAC (Super Affiliate Challenge).
I'm still a little unsure if I'll be able to make it in this niche yet at the same time I'm determined to stick with the training. I was going to skip some of it but I went back and completed the tasks which I wasn't going to do.
One task was the keyword list. I wasn't going to do it because a lot of the succeful promoters in the make money online space say that reviews are the key to breaking through.
So I was going to do that. But then I thought about it and realized that if the training hasn't failed me yet, maybe Kyle and his team know more than I do about this.
And I also could use some refreshing on things I might have already been through.
So I watched some of the videos and did the exercises. I find myself running short on time so I might not update my blog and chat as often as I'd like.
There are also more things I might not be able to do also that I really want to but I'm really focusing on building this niche and following the training so that's what I'm going to do.
Accomplishments This Week
Though I feel like I'm behind, I have made some headway this week.
1) I've completed my freebies that I'm giving away in exchange for subscribing to my newsletter. I created a short course and have two PDFs to go with it.
I've had two subscribers this week. I really struggle to figure out what to write to my email list though. So any help/guidance/enlightenment would be helpful.
2) I've wrote a few reviews. I want to try and do one everyday because that's what they say it takes to 'breakthrough' in this niche.
3) I think one of my biggest accomplishments this week is that in the passed two weeks I've increased my monthly traffic to 200. It didn't sink in to me like that until I actually calculated it.
I also have a high duration time and low bounce rate. I think that is a good indication that people are reading my content but I don't know if I'm getting acrossed because I haven't had any referrals.
I've been averaging about three referrals a month from it just sitting around doing nothing though so I'll take my small wins where they come. No paid referrals yet though but I'm still hopeful...or trying to be, lol.
4) As I said before, I wasn't going to follow the training step-by-step but I'm making myself do it. It hasn't failed me yet and I'm happy with the results that I've got which many have told me are exceptional though I don't feel that way.
So, I literally made myself go back and do some keyword research. Funny thing was that I feel so much more enlightened about some things after doing it.
I was struggling to figure out where I was going with my site but now I have a bit of clairty.
I have 67 keywords. The exercise required 50.
5) I've got an accountability partner so we will be keeping each other accountable for to our goals. Also we'll hopefully be adding some lady chocolateyness to the 2020 Vegas photo which is a little lacking imo, LOL! jking (insert a ton of lol emojis here ^^; ) [well it is... ;) ]
My Goals Moving Forward
I am nervous about maintaining my results. Will I be able to keep growing my traffic or is it going to flat-line and drop back down?
I also don't want to overwhelm myself with work to the point that I'm creating too much content like a machine but losing quality in the process.
Its funny. The thing about me is that I'm very maticulous so EVERYTHING always takes me longer to do. Even something like washing a few dishes which is why I've come to like my new dishwasher, LOL.
Anyways, when I first started, I would get so upset because people would be talking about creating all these posts per week and I was struggling to push out two.
Well some people in the live chat told me don't worry about it, that if I'm putting quality information into the post than that's what really matters. I can't even remember who it was but what they told me that day turned out to be very true.
The people who were publishing all this content were the same ones who complained that they weren't getting any results. Between them and the ad spammers not making any money.
If you read the posts of people who are successful affiliate marketers chances are you'll come acrossed the same words.
- share/teach, don't sell
- add value/solve problems
So I definitely don't want to lose myself in all of this. Obviously we all want to make money for our reasons and mine are very big reasons.
I'm not ready to share those right now plus this post is getting pretty lengthy as it is.
As far as my site goes, I want to increase my traffic to 500 monthly views.
I also want to get some referrals. I don't know how much but some.
I also want to spend more time in live chat. I've always felt weird about chatting in live chat for some reason. I used to do it all the time but idk what's going on with me.
For content, I want to write at least one post per day on my site and two videos on my YouTube channel per week.
I'm not going to be posting my site url often because I don't want people here subbing to my email list. I also don't want people copying my work.
You don't have to copy anyone. Another good piece of advice I've been told is 'Just be you and people will like you'.
It is so true and real but why do so little people believe in their own abilities. Even myself. We feel like we have to copy someone who is successful. Or someone we perceive as being successful.
But that's why you WON'T get anywhere is because that person's brand has already been filled by them. When you create your own brand you will attract your audience and they WILL like you.
So I think I've rambled on enough for now. If you have any questions, comments or other feedback, please leave them in the comments box below and I'll get back to you asap.
Hope you are working hard on your journies. If you're taking part in SAC, let me know in the comments! :)
Have an awesome weekend,
