Have Fun But Don't Forget To Get To Work

How are you doing? I hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving if you are in the United States.
If not, I hope you ate some turkey or tofurkey just because, lol!
Ok, jokes aside, I hope everyone had a good day yesterday. I know I did. I'm usually a pretty healthy eater but I splurged on some (more like a boat load of) rolls and butter and apple pie with vanilla ice cream. Yummm...
They were divine. Like the heavens opened up and blessed my taste buds, lol.
Haha! Can't you tell I'm in a pretty good mood considering it's 6AM and I'm not hardly a 'morning person'.
lol, let me get to the point of this blog. We're entering into the holiday season. For me, that starts Thanksgiving and ends Valentine's Day.
During this time, there's lots of food, fun and good times with family, friends, colleagues, etc. Lots of things going on like shopping, cooking, and things are EXTRA busy.
Pretty exciting but it leaves us with little time to work on our businesses. These are the times that really determine if you're business will fly, glide or crash land.
Even though we're into all these other activities, be sure to COMMIT time to working on your business. One reason I'm up so early this morning is for this exact reason.
I went to bed after midnight and got up just b4 6 to get some training done and work on my business. It's not always easy, especially if your day was particularly hectic or stressful but that's why we have to make this a COMMITMENT.
So splash some cold water on your beautiful face if you have to. Drink a big glass of water too, it really helps. Focus on your why's and look at your vision board to let your goals overtake your body's will to succeed.
Even if it's just ONE hour a day, it is plenty to get some serious work done towards making your life the way you want it.
Have fun, enjoy lots of good food and company, and take action on growing your business in this community.

Great post, Marlinda. Getting some "work" done each day helps me stay focused. My Thanksgiving was not hectic in the least. Kept things simple and light. I wish you all the best.

I actually had some Eastern European and Trinidadian Thanksgiving yesterday! Yep...2 different meals in one day AND I have my very own American version! Oh yeah, and I did try some vegan meatloaf...delicious!
It's all about setting priorities, but these need to be established BEFORE your schedule gets hectic, not during. I knew my Wednesday and Thursday this week would very busy with preparing for Thanksgiving, so I already had decided to set aside all day Friday and Saturday to focus on my online business. I went to bed around 3am, but before I went to sleep, I wrote out things I wanted to accomplish for the weekend, so when I awakened, I knew exactly what I need to focus on over the next 3 days.
A splurge, - whether it's with your time, money, or food - is just a short period of time. You may even over do it, but if a plan is set prior, you can enjoy, guilt-free!
Enjoyed your article, Marlinda. I was up til 3:30, tired, but couldn't get to sleep, so back up til about 5. Then finally got a few hours shut eye. Amazingly not tired today, and ready to do some research for my second post. Wrote and published first one yesterday...Now THAT's a reason for Thanksgiving! Carol

As entrepreneurs, this is our busy season, whether it's selling our own products or promoting someone else' s product as an affiliate. But, we should also remember to take time for ourselves as well
