Hey there!

I hope you are doing well. I know for some of you its evening but its after 7 in the morning in in NC.

When I wake up each morning, I listen to motivational YouTube videos. That's always been the first thing I've done every morning since I committed to living instead of existing.

A huge roadblock to our success is very much mental.

Do you think you can make money online?

Do you think the process works.

Lets get deeper into what you think about yourself. Do you think you're an awesome person or not an awesome person.

If you think you're an awesome person that awesome! But if you don't, I'll tell you that you're not alone because I also struggle with my self image.

I think far worse of myself than anyone else ever will, however, I have learned that these sort of thoughts ARE the biggest thing between me and my success so I'm working on changing them. I hope that you realize and do the same.

I know these sorts of thoughts come about for various reasons so if you need to seek professional help don't be afraid to. Don't listen to the sarcasm and bad mouthing people do.

All that crap is just jealousy and fear talking. You can also keep it private to yourself if need be but if you need the professional help in the states I think you can call '411' and talk to someone but if not Google and research services in your area.

There are programs that help.

But what has really worked for me is listening to certain channels in the morning and while I do 'mindless' tasks like making breakfast, vaccuuming, etc. Some of the channels include:

  • Be Inspired
  • Motiversity
  • daily Motivation
  • Mulligan Brothers

Some edit cussing and some don't just to give you a heads up. I'm not one to like a lot of cussing and stuff either.

I think daily Motivation edits and Motiversity. Sometimes I just leave it on autoplay, lol.

One of the videos I watched today had two profound messages for me. It said 'If I always do what I've always done. I'll always be were I've always been." - T. D. Jakes

Its important to get out and try new things without the fear of failure. I was listening to one yesterday that said we need to rewire our minds about failure.

Most of us see failure as a bad embarrassing thing. Its not.

Failure is truly a good thing. You learn what doesn't work. You learn life lessons. You learn so much more through failure than success yet we put so much emphasis on success.

There's no way any of us are going to grow our businesses to be great without failure. I think that is a quality of myself that has always helped me through.

I've never been afraid to ask questions, get wrong answers, learn the right answer and yes, there are the background snickerers...but don't worry about them. Focus on your goals. They're not their goals or anyone else's so don't let them make anything less important for you.

The second part that stands out for me in this video is about each person's mental battle field. "Its not what they say about you that matters. Its what you say about you that matters."

This also supports my previous point. Stop looking in the mirror and saying you don't like your looks.

I don't care. You have a scar? or some wrinkles? or bags under your eyes? I don't care. You're a beautiful person and you tell yourself that!

Growing up a girl over 6ft has taught me this. No one has any right to tell you that you're anything besides amazing.

Well, I don't want to go off on a long rant so here's the link if you want to watch the video:

(Ooooh, it does embed. Yay.)

You can achieve any goals you set out to accomplish. Every morning I wake up and in my mind I'm driving a shiny black Yukon XL even though I have to drive a rat trap Honda CRV, LOL! (big difference I know but watch me get it :D)

Visualize your goals every day. Replace those self-doubtful thoughts with what you WILL accomplish.

Hope this helps & makes sense :)

I love this, Marlinda!

I used to think that telling myself I was awesome was narcissistic and self indulgent. I learned that self care was so incredibly important, and that the way I talked to myself was terrible. I would never talk to someone else the way that I used to talk to myself!

A quote that I love is, "Whether you think you can, or you think you can't, you are usually right." (Henry Ford)

Hey Angelia!

Yup, that's so true. I think we need to be taught and teach our children to care for everyone including ourselves.

I'm having the hardest time getting my daughter to care about herself and tell me when she's hurting. She just bares it and it makes me realize even more how much I need to care about myself too.

She's just 3 but very caring. I just hope that she learns to care about herself too.

Thanks for sharing :)

One of the more frustrating things about being a parent is trying to convey to our kiddos what we have learned in life thus far.

My oldest is 12, and he is at that cocky "I-know-everything stage."
I know it's just a stage, as my youngest, who is also 3, is at the stage where he challenges everything and tries to take control. I know as they grow, they will go through many stages, but if I do my best to better myself and just keep pushing forward, they will have that as an example.

Keep being an example for your daughter! Good job, mama! :)

Have you seen the movie The Secret? I think you would enjoy it. It talks a lot about visualizing the way you want your life to be.

Best wishes,
Karin

Hey Karin!

I'll have to look that up. Thanksf or making the suggestion :)

Take care,
Marlinda

If you don't like yourself, it's hard to get someone else to like you! Great post. Keep pumping out the motivation and begin each day on a positive note...enough negative stuff out there.
Enjoy the journey.

You gotta have goals, and I love T.D. Jakes awesome

Yup, I also like hearing his story and how they struggled with holes in their shoes, etc. Its so easy to see someone when they're great but the struggle it takes to get there is so much more powerful. Thanks for reading and stay encouraged too :)

Great call to positive thinking, focus and simply summed up by some of MercyMe's "Beautiful" lyrics:

You're beautiful
You're beautiful
You are made for so much more than all of this
You're beautiful
You're beautiful
You are treasured, you are sacred
You are His
You're beautiful

Last, but not least, beyond those personal encouragements, IF you believe in God, pray for guidance and a steady pace during the emotional peaks and valleys along the way.

Blessings!

Hey Gabriel!

This is beautiful and true. I pray often and seek God's guidance often.

Thanks for the encouragement and hope you stay encouraged as well :)
Marlinda

Beautiful! Thank you :-)

Thanks Mel! I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

I agree. Our mental state can be our biggest roadblock. To change our futures many of us need to change our mindset. For some, that is all it really takes.

Staying up and motivated is a huge challenge. Like you, I start my day with a short motivational video. I then hand water my garden with my gratitude affirmations. Then, after some motivation, gratitude, fresh air, and sunshine, I am mentally in a great place to start work.

Stay focused, work hard, keep motivated!

Kevin

Hey Kevin!

Thanks for sharing and I'm glad you enjoyed this post. Those are some good activities and I hope others follow to create their own routines.

I try to tell my hubby to do the same but he won't listen. It's so weird to me that he was the one who used to be encouraging me but now its like he's just given up because everyone says this stuff is garbage. Of course, some are more explicit.

I appreciate you sharing this and hope you have a good day :)

One of my personal favorites of the products we make. I find that doubters can be very motivating to me.
