How to Achieve Success?

A question that many of us asks ourselves every day is "How to achieve success?" whether it be in our business life or personal life.

Achieving success can mean different things to all of us. Personal life success is not the same as being successful in business, a career, or a job.

To be successful in your personal life you need to find what you are most comfortable with as far as how you want to live.

To be successful in your career, job, or as a business person such as WA members building their business online you need to have determination.

The four things that are necessary to either one of these to achieve the success you are looking for are:

  1. Decide exactly what you want and where you want to go.
  2. Set a deadline and make a plan to get there. (Remember, a goal is just a dream with a deadline.)
  3. Take action on your plan; do something every day to move toward your goal.
  4. Plan and decide in advance that you will persist until you succeed, that you will never, ever give up.

These four things will make all the difference in the success of your personal life and business life because the hard part is never giving up never quitting.

Failure

Are some of us going to fail with our personal lives and business goals, sure we are, but this is what should make your conviction even stronger to pick yourself up and start over.

To me failure is all part of the learning curve of life and business. If one thing does not work then you go to plan B and so on until you find the right way that works for you.

People get married and divorced every day in the world because they made the wrong choice of whom they could live with in a marriage. Does this mean they should never marry again?

I think in this instance possibly they married for the wrong reasons and at some point they will each find the one that is intended for them and should then remarry.

Your first website did not turn out the way you think it should have so what do you do? Quit? Really, why not start over create another this time with all the knowledge you learned from the first.

Experience makes all the difference when you are trying to build an online business but the support that you receive sure does help along the way.

Support

Support can come from inside yourself as well as from members of your family such as your spouse, children, parents, or anyone close to you.

Real business support comes from the community within WA with all the people who are members giving of their time and experience to help you along your way.

Without their support at times you could be struggling for hours on end trying to figure out why something will not work or how to fix a problem on your website.

Members support us in more ways than we can count really they offer their valuable time, experience, encouragement, inspiration, and dedication.

The longer you are a member with WA the more you come to rely on other members when you need their support and soon they are no longer just other members they are friends that you consider a part of your family because you bond with them on another level.

WA members encourage even the newest members to reach out as soon as they join for help and support with the community something you will not find anywhere else on the internet.

Success

Considering you only need those four things I mentioned earlier to actually become a success and with the failures and support is there anything I may have forgotten?

Sounds rather funny that people can plan for success, but this is very true once you make up your mind that you can and will do these things success will be yours.

I guess the only other ingredient missed might have been patience, an online business does take an enormous amount of patience to finally see results.

Building and building from the foundation up one brick at a time takes just as much patience when building a house and making it a home.

Comparing a business to building a home makes sense in a way you can look at each post you write as a brick coming closer to the completion of the house.

Just remember you are only one person so building that house is going to take you a very long time :)

In Closing

This is mostly aimed at the newer people here in WA but some of us that have been here for a while can become just as impatient waiting for results to start coming in on our websites.

For those experienced members who are already successful with their online businesses and have met the goals that they have set out to reach thank you for taking the precious time to help the rest of us.

Because of your support, encouragement, inspiration, and never ending help and training all of us has the chance to become successful here.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart you will never know how much you all mean to me.

Thank you to Carson and Kyle for starting this wonderful community all those years ago.

Blessings to you all,

Susan

Tim,
Thank you - never ever give up on anything you want
in life :)
Susan

A niche site is a crucial consideration in deciding your direction. I made a grave mistake.

Jimmy,
That is just the point we are allowed to fail - make a wrong
decision - so pick yourself up and start again - this time
you know what to do - carry on you got this :)
Susan
Thanks for reading and hope it helps :)

Excellent post, Susan, one of the coolest things about this online journey, is that we can take it to where we want to go, with it every day brings with it more opportunities and experiences.

Success is and can mean different things for us all, learning and applying knowledge makes for a fulfilling life.

Thank you.

Alex

Alex,
Agree I love the experience of learning something new
every day here - the support - the friendships - it just
keeps getting better and better :)
Thank you so much for reading,
Susan

Everything you say is 100% right - I couldn't add anything to it. Thanks for posting, it's inspiring!

Mike,
Thanks - just me and my way of trying to help a little for someone needing a way to see it is not impossible to reach success in all phases of life.
Thanks so much,
Susan

Fantastic Article Susan. Money can be given to you but success is earned. Jim

Jim,
So very true - I like the 4 points they make so much sense.
I for one am not giving up nor quitting :)
Thank you,
Susan

Susan, Great Great Article.
Thank you for that.

I would tattoo those 4 points somewhere on my body,
but do not like tattoos so I will find where I can see them
as often as possible.

Again- Thank you ;)
Mike

Michael,
Same here I am not into tattoos. I am going to make a small
plaque and hang them above my desk - if I ever get my
office together - I am terrible at procrastination with doing
things in the house. LOL
Thank you for reading.
Susan

Susan
Thank you for saying that about procrastinating with doing things in the house because I do that, too. Nice post and so very true.

I have to keep reminding myself that I didn't become an expert on craps, blackjack or roulette without putting in years of training and learning. I am not calling myself an expert, but was given that title by "ezine articles " because of an article I wrote for them ( source ).

Chuck

Chuck,
Thank you and I believe you probably are an expert at
gambling just have this funny feeling about it.
I love to hit the casino at least once a year but now I can
only go to the Rivers in Pittsburgh - have not been to Vegas
in years. Miss going but that is alright will get back there
soon enough.
Thanks, glad to know I am not the only one who procrastinates
with things no one else knows about but me. LOL
Susan

Nice to know where you are located. I worked on river boats in Illinois and Mississippi.

I always said that local casino play would increase tourism in Las Vegas because those who didn't know blackjack would be intimidated to play in Las Vegas. Learning the game among friends made it easy for those people to go to Las Vegas.

Sorry for the late reply.

Chuck

Chuck,
Thank you, and as always better late than never in my book LOL
But I have been to Vegas and at that time was not familiar
with gambling or cards now things are different and would
love to return someday. I loved the lights and excitement of
being there and the nightlife is always good!
Thanks again,
Susan

Susan
If you do decide to go to Las Vegas, let me know. I can meet you there. I can teach you how to play to win. I can teach you how to play craps.

Winter months have the lowest room rates. Palace Station is a good place to stay. If you want to know more, PM me.

Thanks for the like.

Chuck

Chuck,
Thank you and I sure will do this - craps has always been
fascinating but never learned to play - you are the best.
Your friend,
Susie

I live in Phoenix, AZ, and LV is just a four and half hour drive for me.

I lived in Las Vegas when a few casinos were still run by organized crime. The movie " Casino - with Robert DiNero and Joe Pesci - was a factually based movie based on events that happened when I lived there.

Chuck

Chuck,
I love that movie - have watched it over and over again LOL
My deceased husband was Italian and parts of his family
back in the day where involved with people like that :(
Susan

Being of Italian heritage myself, my dad was also. The scene at the end of the movie really happened.

Chuck

Chuck,
These types of things happened in many parts of our country
most people were unaware of them unless they were locals.
Where I grew up in Pennsylvania one of the towns close by
was mob run the things back in the day that happened there
my husband's grandmother would tell us about. I cannot
begin to tell you how many bodies are in the Allegheny River
with cement shoes on - she would tell us and we would sit
therein disbelief but it really happened!
The one thing I learned from all of this is never open your
mouth to anyone LOL
Susan

You are right.

Time for the Webinar

Chuck

Great post, Susan.
Love the training and community support. Thank you also for the motivation.
Aussie Rob

Robert,
Thank you, Rob, hoping to help anyone in just a small way.
Susan

Thank you for your very encouraging post

Sylvia,
Thank you for reading, hope it helps in a small way.
