Website and Wine

What could a website and wine possibly have in common you might ask? As wine ages people that drink a fine wine knows that aging is necessary for a good wine.

When a woman is told she is aging like a fine wine this a very nice compliment but only the older people of WA would be aware of this.

But even with that how does a website and wine become connected? As I was reading blog post's I had read one from a young lady that had a website and did not have any traffic.

She decided to forget about it and left it alone doing nothing with the website, once joining WA she went back to look at the website and found even with nothing being added she had gained more followers.

Finding this unusual but making her rekindle her love for the website because the niche was a passion of hers, she wrote the blog post.

As I was reading it this dawned on me, when we build a website being new Google and the other search engines do not recognize us as authority writers or website owners.

Our websites need to age like a fine bottle of wine, this making me smile I left it as a comment on her blog post as my new motto.

The Connection

We produce content for a website and submit this to the search engines, they crawl and find the content but do not recognize the author.

As we continue to produce content and the engines continue to crawl finding more content our website begins to age and the search engines start to recognize us as authors.

Websites that continue to grow with content and continue to age start to look very good to the search engines, now they are seeing this as a fine bottle of wine to move to the top shelf.

Now when I begin to wonder about building out my websites or starting a new one I can just stop and think about my new motto and stop worrying about indexing and ranking.

Aging will get my website to where it needs to be on the front page eventually and then those posts will be fine wine that people will enjoy for many years to come.

Many Members Wonder

Time keeps moving forward and we keep working on our websites some of us try to keep it so we post on a schedule and keep our Site Health in great shape.

Others will post just when they feel like it and wonder why nothing is happening for them. Consistancy is one key to success here with an online business fresh content is necessary.

The members like myself who keep posting and posting with no results have an even harder time playing the waiting game for their websites to be recognized and move up the ladder of the search engines.

Constantly wondering if we are doing things the right way or the wrong way, what I have realized after thinking this for the past couple of months is I have choosen a niche that is highly competitive meaning it is going to take longer for my websites to rank.

Is this a bad thing? No not at all eventually they will climb the ladder just like any other of the niches just because they are highly competitive will take them longer and I need to have even more patience.

With this comes the emotional and logical rollercoaster, do not let this happen to you keep moving forward and talk to others who came before us!

In Closing

This is of course a very, very short blog post but then again just some food for thought.

Can you compare your website to aging and see any comparisons?

Let me know in the comment section below likes are always welcome :)

Thanks for reading hope you found this trivia a bit amusing as well,

Susan

What a perfectly orchestrated comparison, Susie! The fact that websites only get better with age is something we all need to hear and remember! You've written a very helpful and catchy post, my dear! I absolutely LOVE it!

Erin :)!

Erin,
I have a wonderful teacher when it comes to writing
learning from one of the best here at WA is my
pleasure - you are so good at writing posts - now I
need to figure out how you do those books :) ((xx))
Thank you this is an honor the comment you left gave
me goosebumps,
Love you,
Susie xxoo

Omg, Susie! You are so professional and replying so early in the morning at 5am! Do sleep more and take care! :o)

Truth story sharing. Thanks Susie.

Chong,
Thank you, so welcome :)
Susie

Thank you, Susie, for your sharing! For me, my website is still a baby. It still has a long way to go.
Yet, I am so fortunate to be able to learn from all the experts here. It will be great to hear from you and the rest on how should we manage our website.
Once again, thank you for bringing out this subject, Susie! Do take care! :o)

Terand,
I know that you are still one of the young ones here
but you are coming along just fine - and you learn
easily so you will be just fine.
Thank you so much for supporting me and being
such a sweet and great friend,
Susie

My friend, so late and you are still up. You are very hard working! You have helped me a lot and I do appreciate it! Go and have a good quality sleep and do take extra care, Susie! :o)

geez, a glass of dry red, with soft Brie or Camembert cheese on small potatoe round snack crackers ... plus, a few grapes, cantaloupe slices or apple slices would all be good!

enjoy it all! ... cheerio ... ⭐️🎈

in The Lounge of course ... 😊

Keisha,
Praying that later this year we can reopen the lounge
with great success stories from us all :)
Thank you sweetie,
Susie ((xx))

Oooooo! Love fine wine and I can go buy it instantly! Traffic, indexing and ranking are the same as owning the vineyard!
Having to tend it, water it, prune, pick, brew, bottle it. Patience and self control are my “go to’s”. I must admit I need to tend my “go to’s” as well because they are getting in short supply! (Chuckle). Breathe, breathe, let go and all of life’s riches are winging their way to me! Will arrive not now but soon! Exercise in faith and trust. Thank you for the inspiration! Cheers AJ

Jill,
Thank you, sweetie, and yes breathe, most important!
We will succeed in this I am sure of it!
Love you, my Aussie Jill,
Susie

Our success is a given! Yay! Love you too! Cheers AJ

Awesome analysis and analogy! The only difference is that websites cannot be sipped and you don't get silly and happy with it. ha ha ha. Just kidding!

When it comes to aging and getting better as it ages...you are right on Susan. That is why we wait for months and even a couple of years before our sites are seen!

My rationale for the worthiness of the wait...a year, two years or more would still pass for sure whether we engaged in an adventure with Wealthy Affiliate or not!

And if we engaged in it...the adventure pays off! So the choice is a NO BRAINER! Awesome post Susan!

Joe

Joe,
And another good way to look at it
"All good things come to those who wait"
I am willing to wait the patience inside is
not always cooperative LOL,
Thank you for stopping by,
Susan

; ) Well said!

Joe

I am ready to Wait, But my parents & Relatives are Pressuring me to Stop this online business & Go for Job. The main problem is the Monthly Payment of $50.

Arjun,
I know how you feel, but that is what this business takes.
Try to explain to them and show them on the site how
long it took the successful people who have been here
for years.
Thank you,
Susan

Thank you for understanding Me. Are you now full time working on your website? or Are you Working on any regular Job?

Arjun,
I am disabled and retired so I work full-time on my
websites :) Do what you can and yes I understand
very much unless you are doing what we do people
have not a clue and think we are wasting our time and
money, cannot wait to prove them wrong :)
Susan

many of us on WA have the same problems, So many families are naysayers. Even if you have to get a part-time job, don't give up on your dream.

Yes, I won't plan to give up But for the time being I need to find a Job and Earn Some Money, I fear what if this doesn't work Well

Thank You
