Hello everyone, does anyone have any experience with amazon associate sites? - One that are built for you... looking for input -- good? bad? in-differnt? anyone use or try them
I bought 2 different ones but we can make better ones here. The 2 were Azon (something or other) and (something or other) Azon. Yes, 2 different but closely related products.
Not as pretty as I thought and I thought both did marketing but nope. I was on my own. Why do you ask?
well I purchased one today and I was told that they did the marketing and or helped me with it then a few hours later another guy called me - and spend along time explaining and talking and it all sounds good... but as we know in business advertising costs money so he wants more money to to the marking -- says guaranteed return... but I have been down this road with other companies-- so I thought I would ask about the amazon road... it all sounds great.... but I don't want to fall off track with yet another thing that could be ify
oh sorry I went to bed.... I felt all to hokey for me -- I requested refund... thanks for all your input....

What you are describing in your comments with Deidre (@upsgirl) seems rather suspect to me. If I understand correctly, they sold you on a package that is a mall of different categories of products and they are going to handle the marketing for you. But they want more money to do that? Did the original sales letter tell you that you they would handle the marketing as part of the original deal? If so, you may want to try to get your money back.
If you want to take the Amazon route, I agree with Deidre that you can do better on your own with training here. If you want to sell Amazon products you will likely find that specializing in a certain category/niche will do much better than generalized mall-like websites. This is because you can focus the niche on specific content geared towards that narrowly defined niche. With a mall type setup you have to try to be all things to all people and unless you have the clout that a site like Amazon itself has, that is going to be much more difficult than a narrow niche defined site.

Hi Jim, thanks so much - yeah that's kinda what I was thinking - so I already called and requested refund... nice gentleman on the phone, said no problem, he asked why I told him after purchase got a call about putting more money in for marketing she was surprised and didn't think it was them calling... I told him I still wanted a refund, he said should see it in about a day even thought they need to quote 5-7... so all is good thanks so much for your input.. I luv this community

Hi Mar,
I had the same frustration weeks ago..If we are on the same page.. To change the Featured Area 1-3.. you have to go to Appearance => Theme Options = > Homepage (Content).. , if the Enable Pre-Made Homepage is enabled or is "On" you will see Content 1 to Content 3 which are your Featured Area 1 to Featured Area 3. You can upload pictures, type the title and the texts to change the default.
For the Slider -- Appearance => Theme Options = > Homepage then scroll down to Built-In Slider where you can see the " + " and click it to add your own slider photos and texts.

K, I installed your theme. Under Theme Options if you click on the homepage button, you can select the pictures for your slider.
Under that button is the content button for the lower text areas.
Theme options is in the same column of control panel items, you just have to look a little lower under Appearance.

I am not a big fan of pen names I like to know who I am talking to and also i like the people I talk to , to know my name! :)
Well Dottie is a character all her own - a persona if you will, She even refers to me in her posts.... so see It takes the fun out of it.. if its promoted the its me.. its not like I am trying to hide my identity... it would be easy if not obvious who i am... -- but i want it to stay fun... so i need to be separate--- hope that makes sense
