The Article and PPC power indicators in the WA keyword tool - am I right to assume higher value is better?(ie. 10 is good, 1 is bad)

thanks blairdc

Yes, however they don't really have much meaning when it comes to choosing your keyword. Just focus on # of searches and competition

The last entry in the Tools section is Mar 2013.

I don't think the list has been updated since March.

Just so you'all know, the Keyword Lists under tools have a huge number of keywords on them which would be really cool. But...they aren't up-to-date; OR current. I think the latest one is dated somewhere in 2013. But you could take the lists and plug the keywords into the tool to see if any of them are any good at all cause there were some pretty cool keywords that even I would not mind using today! Good luck.j

other than that, I don't know

Under the tools in your menu, the last option is keyword list

Wondering since we're building authority sites, is it necessary or do we have an additional edge for ranking if we use exact keyword matched in the domain name.

Also people like to remember the domain name that makes sense and shorter domain works better than longer ones....that's just me

Thanks. I wish I had thought of that when I first made my domain name. Will remember it in the future though.

Thanks Jon just followed you and saw your domain name....it is long but it does not matter. People will remember it and building contents with keywords are important

Hi Mark,

They best domain name that you can choose is one that make sense and is descriptive. You want to describe what your site is about so that your readers feel that it's relevant when they find it in Google. Also while they are viewing the site and making up their mind if they should engage further, a relevant domain is going to help keep them make the decision to stay.

A few years ago, you'd get a benefit from having an EMD, not so much these days. There might be a slight edge to having one, but you're much better off getting a domain you're happy with instead of trying to stuff a combination of keywords into your name. I've always been a fan of creative domain names myself.
