Hey community I've been here 4 months and 4 days the training has been rewarding thank you for all of your help here!!!!Don't want to sound negative did so research on my site
Don't sweat the small stuff - and everything is small stuff! Keep pressing forward and you will achieve success my friend! :-)

Dude...just keep it going and ignore that BS. Yeah yeah I know numbers, whatever. Keep at it....Eventually it comes around.
Ignore it. Don't want to come across too blunt, but those stats are largely irrelevant.
4 months in you are doing well, keep posting and around the 4-6 month Mark you will start seeing consistent results.
Highly doubt anyone is being scared of off from your site

Is your link an "html" text link? or is it an https://.... link?
Depending on its formation there are different places to put it.
Then if its https, you should go to the add link icon, click on the setting button so that the window opens up - see pic
and then write the url (the https) into the first window and the Link text that you want to have to describe your link in the second window - see second pic
And save =)

Ok I sign up today follow the instructions then later got a email said that they couldn't approve my site because I need to show Ownership of my Domain. Then I checked it again
The biggest question here is = Have You Already Proven Ownership Of Your Domain ? Yes or NO
If Yes, Just wait . . .Google is playing catch-up.
If No, I may be able to help.
Even though you purchased your own, or even rented, a domain, you have to prove you own it now. I stumbled upon how to prove it. It is in the ALL IN ONE SEO PLUGIN within your website(s). Go to the SETTINGS and you'll see the Google Verification in there . .
Under Settings in SEO Plugin you'll see "Verification Settings" then you'll see "Google Webmaster Tool" and a blank box. That's the box you'll need to type an HTML code into.
Now, where does the Google Verification HTML Code come from? Below is a link to a Google doc on how to obtain the code. Just copy & paste it in your browser:

I knew where to get the HTML code, but not where to put it.
I learned this from the "SEO Primer Webinar" here on WA actually. Jay, who taught the course, told us about "site indexing."
However, domain verification comes first thus . . . .
I was going back and forth between original & WA Domain hosts for days. Neither knew how to verify my domain, for whatever reasons. Then I tripped on the SEO plugin box in the website . . . voila! It all came together.

You have to verify your site with AdSense if you haven't done it yet. Sign into your AdSense account. Then on the left side menu go to "My Sites". There you will see your sites that you have entered and if you click on the dropdown arrow on the right side of your site name, it will tell you if your site is verified or not. If not there should be instructions on how to do that.
Adsense is a funny thing. Some people get approved right away while others can apply and apply and never get approved. The fact of the matter is You should have a lot of good content before even trying. You may get lucky but doubtful
Don't stress out about it. They may or may not approve you. Either way it will take a few days. If they do not approve you do not feel bad, they do not approve a lot of people, myself included back when I first applied. I never bothered to apply again because it is not necessary for completing the training.

You may have pasted the code in the wrong place and that's why they can't verify ownership of the website. Paste the code into the Text tab of a text widget then let me know if that helps.
Unfortunately, I cannot help you with this issue, but I do want to know the answer so, when I get adsense setup I will know what to do.
