There is No End Game: Reasons over Goals, Inspiration over Motivation, Purpose, Life Path, Gratitude

Saying goes "it never stops... You'll always want more and more".

When I heard that, it gave me a negative tone. It described to me that I will never become satisfied. I may become rich, abundant, lacking nothing but empty. What then is success?

Mark 8:36 came to mind; what do you benefit if you gain the whole world but lose your own soul?

We work, we eat but the stomache never satisfies.

But you know what, while all that is true, this is only talking about half of the whole picture. The other side of the truth is that you'll never stop learning and improving for as long as you live and keep choosing to build your life.

I think a key here is to be down to earth. To be non-judgemental and truthful to yourself and your goals and to the things about what you really, really want. Remaining balanced will always be a constant lifelong challenge.

There's no end game.

You may hit the peak of your chosen field or challenge, but it's only a matter of time that you will want to find another area of life that you want to work on, and begin challenging yourself differently.

There is no end game.

For as long as you're alive, the game never stops. A new day forms, and then a new generation rises; even time doesn't stop. So you might as well keep going; in one lane, then to another lane, on one road then to another whichever your quest might be.

Now you begin to see there is a choice. Now there is excitement because you see there is something to look forward to everytime. Your mind remains youthful. For some of us this is actually very difficult depending on the situation we're in.

But here's a gold nugget for the taking...
To be abundant, first you have to train your ability to SEE abundance. And it all starts with being grateful. Some of us have been training our brains to only detect the difficult things and disregard the blessings as fake optimism or just "luck".

Training your ability to detect the things to be grateful for is the test you will always find before you're about to reach every new level and unlocking a new gateway. Just right when its about to be the hardest to see the silver line in the cloud, that's the perfect time when you have to mentally and forcefully inscribe it into your head against the emotional resistance. The key is whether you have learned gratitude.

So screw the negativity; rope it up and use it to your advantage.

Don't know where to start? Keep it simple. Find just one thing you've wanted, however small you think it is, and work out every possible way, or specific ways of how to get what you want. With all the social media, google information, and technology we have today, promoting and finding success has never been easier.

Next thing you know you've got goals.
Next thing you know you've developed, in your brain, the courage and a reason to try.
Next thing you know you've got a sense of direction of where you gotta go and expect yourself to be.

Next thing you know you might have found a new passion.
Next thing you know you decide you want to make something out of it.
Next thing you know... You've got it.

You've finally got yourself a PURPOSE.

As you can see, there's levels to this...

And lucky for you the game don't stop.
Next thing you know there will be another. Whatever that "another" will be.

Hi Marley, thanks so much. Means a lot because this is me spilling my heart out

Great blog, I enjoyed it very much. We do need to come to terms with the fact there is no end game and be comfortable with that.

Maybe even be grateful that there isn't because we can then become chameleons and change with our whims and wants.

Nice!

Exactly. Everything changes all the time. Life is dynamic, not static and still. Glad you got something good out of the post, @HeidiY
