TIP 10 > AMP, heard of it? Accelerated Mobile Pages (Speed Optimisation)
AMP, heard of it? (Accelerated Mobile Pages)
Accelerated Mobile Pages was created to speed up delivery of content and advertisements on mobile devices and it’s an open source web standard.
Partnering with many global publications in October 2015, Google commenced this project.
Since 2016, literally millions of webpages have been instigated using the AMP standard and it’s been reported that AMP pages load up to 75% faster and consume ten times less bandwidth than the norm.
You can setup AMP on your WordPress website in 2 different ways, either via Cloudflare (the CDN we spoke about in a previous post) or via a Plugin.
In terms of Cloudflare, it’s as simple as enabling “Accelerated Mobile Links” from within the Speed settings once you’ve logged into your Cloudflare account.
There are also a number of plugins which offer AMP including an official one created by WordPress.
TESTING YOUR AMPS
Once AMP has been enabled and configured, you should always test your pages to ensure they’re displaying as expected.
I’d suggest the easiest way to accomplish this is by using your Google Search Console Account.
Once again, this is a training which I want to create and publish in the not to distant future in order to fully demo AMP functionality.

Thanks for this info :) I have been revamping my site and doing my best to get it in tip top shape and this includes site speed.
Great stuff. I seem to end up having problems with the settings. Will go over your post again to find out what I am doing wrong. I have a mobile speed in the high nineties, but I am sure as I keep adding more cont it will decrease. Thank you
