I've just finished watching Jay's webinar about SiteContent, Wealthy Affiliate's writing platform.

As a once freelance writer for others I've used a variety of writing platforms before. Recently I started using SiteContent exclusively.

Here are 12 reasons why I love this platform:

1. It's available for Free and Premium members so everybody can use it

2. Having access to it within the main platform makes access easy and convenient

3. It helps you to organize your content via grids and buckets so you can be efficient and productive

4. You can search, find and add royalty free images to your content as you write which saves you time

5. Images are automatically compressed for the best size so you do not have to do it yourself.

6. There are pre-built templates available and you can create more of your own which helps by giving you a ready to use framework for writing any article.

7. You can set writing goals - word count goals and publishing goals to help you stay on track with your writing.

8. You can keep track of all your writing goals and stats, including when your article has been indexed by Google.

9. There is a great built-in spelling, grammar and punctuation check to help you identify and fix errors.

10. You can save articles and come back later to continue.

11. The platform also checks your article for duplicate content so you know beforehand if you need to change it before publishing.

12. You can publish posts and pages directly to WordPress from the platform which once gain is very convenient.

I use site content all the time. I agree it is a great resource.

Alex

Thanks Alex. It sure is. ~Mark

I am growing to love site content. I didn't know about grids and buckets until today!

Hi Mia, Awesome! The buckets definitely help with being organized, especially if you're riding for a few websites. ~Mark

It's great that it ties in with Google and publishes easily!

I agree Mike. Anything that makes life a bit easier is good with me. ~Mark

yes learned how to use properly liked

Excellent Robert! ~Mark

Yes, site content is sound, then I simply edit in Wordpress with tags, images etc.

Same here. Works perfectly. ~Mark

HI Mark,
I have a question, I started my new website followed by one of an online trainer. There is a website called 'digg.com and reddit.com to finish SEO. Digg.com is not taking me further as well as reddit.com. Now I stuck, can you help what to do. I am really upset. I have sent a message to him, but no answer.

Sham

Hi Sham

I am assuming you're using Reddit and Digg for bookmarking? Did you register with both sites?

I have sometimes had to come back and do certain links again because they did not go through at the time. Perhaps give it a few hours and then try again.

Otherwise it is best to wait for them to reply as it's difficult to know where the problem might be.

Great post Mark! My favorite SiteContent features are draft features and the templates. The idea is to use sitecontent for writing content and planning content.

Thanks Kim! Yes the templates are great little time savers. I have used a few them so far and created a few of my own too. ~Mark

I use it exclusively, but after publishing the first thing I do is edit it in Wordpress so I can categorize it and do housekeeping stuff like add tags, etc. also where I embed a video, add the post to a menu, etc again.
Site Content is great!
Grant

Thanks Grant, I do the same although I have to admit I am a bit lax when it comes to tags. Is their purpose purely to assist with searching or do they have another function?

~Mark

Good question. I don’t know if google recognizes keywords when they’re added as tags or not. I’ve heard yes and I’ve heard no. I add them just in case.

Nice review. Good job. I am using it for my new site. I like that it saves your content. If your site fails say with a theme change you still have all your stuff.
Trevor

Thanks Trevor. Yes that's another plus, the fact that we have a backup copy of content if something goes wrong on our sites. Thanks for adding that to the list. :) ~Mark

Site content is my fav.

Mine too Jared. :) ~Mark
