First Blog Post on New Site!

After some struggling, I finally got this first blog post done: http://thestrongestmind.com/po.... I'm not sure how I feel about the images, but they were the best I could find for free. I had to import them via FTP, since there was some issue uploading them through the media library. Then I couldn't find them, because they were in the server, but I needed another plugin to draw them into the media library. It's been an adventure, but the next one should be a whole lot easier, lol. Hope everyone's having a great week!

Great post, Mark! I just left you a comment!

Your writing style is very laid back, so I found it easy to read. I can't believe this is your first blog post!

Just one critique: Change "Admin" so your name and face appear when responding to a comment, it's much more personal.

Really impressive, Mark!

Awesome! Thank you, Veronica! Well, it's my first blog post on a site created through WA, but I do write for a living. I'm trying to get out of the freelance trap and write for my own sites, instead of everyone else's, lol. Yes, I was looking into the "Admin" thing this morning, trying to figure out how to change it. I was reading a comment stream about that and I dozed off after being up all night. I'll have to read through everything to see how its done, especially with a pic next to my name. Anyhow, thank you so much for taking the time to check it out and comment!

I don't know where you are in the training, I think this is covered under Course # Lesson 5, see link below,

Thanks, Veronica! I'll be sure to check it out.

Great post, Mark, the images look great. Did you solve the issue with uploading the images in the media library for next time?

Hey, Brok. Not exactly, but I guess I'll just do it through FTP next time, as well. I've seen dozens of people both here and elsewhere talking about upload issues involving the "http error" message, like mine. Some people said switching browsers helped, or clearing the browser cache, rebooting their computer, adding in some new piece of code, using some special plugin, or just waiting a few minutes and trying again. But none of that worked and I'm stumped. So rather than keep trying to fight it, I guess I'll just use Filezilla from now on.

Once I get this site rolling properly and fully monetized, I'm going to go through the Affiliate Bootcamp and make an affiliate site. I have some domain name ideas that are still available, but I want to get this site done nice and smooth first, before trying to tackle another one. When I get this one down to where all I have to do is keep posting regularly and there's nothing left to tweak on it, I'll start on the other one. Eventually, I'll be able to quit freelance writing for everyone else and focus solely on writing for my own sites. I think that's the way to go for me.
