Update: Thrive Architect Drag and Drop Button Missing

A big thank you to everyone who responded to my question about the Thrive Architect drag and drop button which went missing.

Is anyone else having a problem with Thrive Architect?

It was an intermittent problem which seemed to fix itself then came back a number of times over the last couple of days. I put in a support ticket at Thrive and they were quick to respond with a few suggestions as to how we could potentially fix the issue.

Then I finally sussed out that the problem depended on the size of the browser window. When I was editing a post with the browser full-screen the button was there as it should. But when I used a smaller browser window the button was missing.

I updated the support ticket:

"I have some further information which could help narrow down the issue.

If I use the browser in full screen on a 23 or 24 inch monitor then the drag and drop button is available. If I use a smaller window then it disappears. It’s missing on my 19 inch laptop in full screen but when I zoom to 80% then the button becomes visible.

I still have version 2.4.6.2 on one of my websites and there is no issue whichever browser or screen size I’m using.

The issue is not browser dependent as it’s the same in Firefox as it is in Chrome."

Thrive support responded

Almost as soon as I updated my support ticket at Thrive they responded via email:

"Hello Marion,
We were able to replicate the issue, I logged this issue with the development team, we will update you as soon as we have feedback from them."

So, if you're having problems using Thrive Architect the short-term solution is to use your browser full-screen and/or use Ctrl + Scroll to change your browser's resolution.

If you haven't updated the plugin yet then hold off until the next update when we should see a permanent fix.

I sent them the update you put out about the size of screen etc and they responded to me with the same message, so hopefully, they have realised there is a chink in the armour and sort it out. Having said that I have noticed that I have now got the move icon back so let's see how long it stays.

Thrive has updates every other day which is a pain. They now seem to be clunky or buggy of late.

I think they clash with the settings with our sites hosted at WA as had some problems many times.

I used to have Instabuilder but they were slow in response as they started to become frustrating, I hope Thrive sorts it out.
