I'm very happy that my course is helping people create their first WordPress website.

Well done! Do you know how to create a page without any menu. Just a clean page that look like this

Good question. It's a theme thing and Steve (I've Tried That) is using a customized or proprietary theme so I can't tell you which theme he's using. http://whatwpthemeisthat.com/

Go to wordpress.com and click on Themes and see if you can find one that has a full width page layout. You may need to use a subdomain instead of putting it on your main website.
