Guys, I'm really struggling right now. I feel like I'm not getting any satisfaction out of writing for my website and that I have exhausted the things that I want to write abou

Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone! I'm going to start trying them out and hopefully find something that works for me.

Well, when I have writers' block, it's mainly because, I have no idea what I was going to write about that day, the next day or the day after that.

So, I have learned to do a lot of research, especially while on Pinterest or YouTube. I read peoples comments and so on.

I also write down any thoughts that I have at that moment. So, it's like carrying a notebook with you everywhere you go, and although this may be extreme, I find that it helps a lot.

Here are an articles that may give you a few ideas on how to come up with product reviews or blog ideas. Here is an article on how to cure writer's block and this one might help as well And in this webinar Jay talks about how to come up with content I hope this helps

Great tips.

Thank you!

Wow, thanks! I will be looking into all of those.

You're welcome

I do research. I go to places like Pinterest or Youtube to find articles comparable to one I'm considering writing. I might go to Jaaxy and brainstorm on topics.
I watch videos, listen to podcasts, or listen to audiobooks. I see what's already out there in the marketplace on the topic I'm considering writing about (and doing well).
I look at Amazon and the topic-related books that are out. I read comments and reviews to see what customers may have liked or disliked about the content that's already out, and I create my own version and try to make it better than what's out.
I do that everytime I have writer's block. Maybe not the entire regimen, but as much until I have the inspiration to begin writing my own.

Thanks for the tips!

Listen to your favorite music without the words just the instrumental part and watch the inspiration just flow

Yep happens all the time, best thing to do is walk away from your computer and do something else.

I have aways found writing insperation by going to my local starbucks that's located inside a Chapters books store, and I head to the magazine section. Best boost for writers block for sure. Lot's of content ideas.

Have you tried 'Mind-mapping' on paper....just start with a word maybe loosely connected to your niche and just keep adding other words associated with each other...they'll all be connected and maybe one or another will give you a fresh direction to take...thinking laterally or 'outside of the box' is sometimes what it takes to get inspired....I did an exercise the other day and just picked the first word that popped into my head and tried to think of as many possible 'posts' I could write...it was a bit of giggle, which probably looked odd as I was on my own. You'd be surprised how much you could write about 'traffic lights'...Ok, so it was two words...but you get my point. The other word was 'butter' that turned out to be huge.
Failing that...turn it all off, pack it all away and go and do something different for a while, without feeling guilty about it. Just take a sabbatical.
You'll get 'it' back, for sure.

Thanks for the suggestions! I have a hard time doing something else without feeling guilty but I think that might be just what I need for a bit.

You're welcome.

Hey Mariah, What I have started doing which helps me a lot is when I am talking to someone about whatever my niche is about. I listen closely to what people say and if they ask me any kinds of questions about my topic it gives me ideas of things to write about and answer those questions with a post.

I hope this is helpful.

I like to do some free writing. Set a timer for 5 minutes, then take your pen and paper and just start writing about anything. You can do it on the computer, but I've found it's more effective for me with an actual pen and paper. You can also ask yourself some questions and then free write your answers.

I have a decent sized phone (Samsung A7) and the text does look a bit small to me. If it's not a feature you can adjust in Appearance > Customize then just add a little bit of CSS

Thank you Marion, Saved me. well I did what you said. Actually did what you did and it worked. Audio is a problem I have to solve. audio is so "skippy" I cant understand. No matter, googles says they will get back to me. Your the BEST!!!

I think you may have to speak to a Solutions Engineer, as the web becomes more accessible to people using an increasing number of devices, it is vital that pages appear correctly and content be easy to read. Go to Google Webmaster Tools Mobile.
Jacqueline

I'm inclined to think your theme might not be mobile friendly. Does your theme promote itself as "fully responsive"?

It looks great when I pull it up on my phone...

I checked it out. Here's the screenshot from the test, and here's one from my phone when I search the page. I don't understand why it would be different. Do you have any idea why it would be fine on my phone?

Well, that really is puzzling!

Hey Mariah,

All the rules are clearly posted in the Amazon Associate account pages. You can even contact their affiliate tech support people to ask questions of.

However, if you prefer to skip reading their rules, you could Google "things that get my amazon associate account banned" (without the quotation marks, of course) and read some of the posts in the search results to see what else can get your affiliate account banned with Amazon.

Hope you find this helpful.

I have read them. This issue is ambiguous and I can't seem to find a straight answer. I have contacted Amazon as well and they didn't give me a straight answer either...
