Configuring The Free Version Of GeneratePress Tutorial Is Now Completed

Last Update: April 21, 2020

I have completed the GeneratePress tutorial, it can be viewed at Configuring The Free Version Of The GeneratePress Wordpress Theme

I will be creating a few more tutorials for more free themes before I start creating courses for the Premium version of GeneratePress. (See Which WordPress Themes Would You Like To See An Editing Tutorial For? for more information about why I am writing this post)

I tried to cover the free version in a manner so that a user can better understand how to configure it as well as the Premium version. The steps covered for the Free version are very similar to the same steps one uses with the Premium modules.

I have really spent the past day digging into the GeneratePress theme, more than I ever have, and I will say that this theme is practically "Genius" in its design, code and optimization.

I now better understand why it's so recommended here, it's the perfect theme to meet any need, that will fit any niche, no matter what type of site a person wishes to create.

I just wanted to share the word that the tutorial is completed, I hope that others enjoy it, I will be creating another tutorial next week!

You will be making a vast amount of members very happy. I'm sure that many of us know what we want our themes to look like but struggle with the 'how'. These posts are a great asset for us all. I might even try out GeneratePress, now that there is a guide. Thank you Maria.

You are welcome Twack, I hope to complete 10 to 15 tutorials over the next few months, if all goes well. I plan to do a variety of styles so that members can not only choose a theme perfect for their niche, but also learn enough that they can find it easier to configure any theme of their choice.

Thanks for all your hard work. My mentor has recommended this Theme for me to migrate to months ago. I am currently using screenr and hesitant to do the migration out of concern for loosing things.

Your tutorial is very timely and I shall be studying it. I feel confident I will then be able to do the migration with confidence.

When I did a migration with my 1st website I noticed that I lost the header picture. I know that a picture at the top is not the best way for to create an affiliate marketing website, but in my MMO one I insert headings into a picture strip at the top that I don't want to loose.

I don't like imposing on other members but I've going to ask you anyway as it is relevant. Will you be able to check out my website ti see what I am talking about and tell me if I can duplicate that on Generate Press?

Thanks Marla.

You won't lose content Edwin, but what you will find is that things will be out of place but not that can't be tweaked by way of widget or custom menu rearrangement if that helps

Edwin, I will be more than happy to look at your site so I can better understand what you are needing. Just PM me the link anytime!

The great thing about Generate press is that it follows a systematic flow where from what I can tell, the few changes that will happen, can be easily fixed.
