Hello WA,

Dear community, I need your help. I have 2 domains with Godday which are about to expire by the end of the month. I tried to login in the my account, but Godadd

Hey Maria,

Check out the screen print below to see how you can easily find a contact phone number for GoDaddy.

Hope you find this helpful.

Hey Triblu,

I already have done this, but I'm send to the customer support, it seems that the reset verification department cannot be reached.

If GoDaddy refuses to help you I am not sure what you can do.

I'm in the position to lose my websites.

I cannot help you beyond recommending you to reach out to GoDaddy. If they continue to refuse you help then reach out for a lawyer.

If I were you, I'd call them one more time... and, if they continue to refuse to help you, ask for their supervisor.

Intimidating customers is no way to provide quality customer service, that's for sure.

Thank you, I appreciate it.

there is a phone number give them a ring and asked them what can happen they will probably send a verification to your new phone

The phone number is not valid anymore and they cannot changed it with my actual number.

when asked what they can do? You can with the first person to ever change your phone number or lose your phone

They accept only my photo ID which I cannot provide as it's illegal by law. Without this, they will not unlock my account and I'm about to lose my domains and all my work from the last 2-3 years.
I argue that the photo ID was not required when I created the account, so to be honest, I don't know how they can validate my identity.

Hello WA,

I'm planning to start a store using Shopify, and I wonder if I create a blog post using Site Content Editor when hitting 'Publish,' the post will be visible in

As I understand it the post will be published to your WordPress blog then you can share from there

I plan to buy the domain from WA and create a blog section on the Shopify store. I think that the publishing is possible only to WordPress (as you mentioned), but is there any way to point the post to Shopify?

Only manually far as I know

Thanks Dave.

Hello All,

I have a relatively new website, and today I start to configure the XML Sitemap using All in One SEO. I have the last version of the plugin (2.12), and 'Filename

I had a problem with my sitemap and site support rebuilt it for me. I would try there if Marion's suggestions do not work.

Hi Paul, thank you. Indeed, I contacted Site Support and they issue is solved.

Thanks Marion for your reply. I did all the steps as in your video, but the filename prefix is missing and the default sitemap generated is 'website.com/sitemap.xml', but it's empty with only the warning message which I mentioned.

And a print screen for clarifications

If you have more than one plugin trying to create the sitemap they will clash. Deactivate the other plugin(s) and try again. If the problem persists contact Site Support.

Thanks, Marion. I will contact Site Support. I have only one SEO plugin, so I'm out of solutions.

Hello all,

I was thinking to join ShareASale but from my research is seems that the account can be deleted if your balance is below $25 and if you don't reach the thresho

Jeannine, gives what I would say is a very credible answer, given her experience and 'day' job : )

I still have a bit of doubt. The pic provided by @Robert-A is the same I stumbled on.

Maybe she does know her stuff Dave but she is still not totally correct.
Read the info in the pic

Yes, this is the pic. Thanks, Robert.

My Apologies, I was getting confused with something else, that I thought was the same. I was with SAS for quite a while, but not overly keen on it, so stopped using it.

Apologies for any confusion caused, the WordPress world is quite extensive and expansive : )

No probs Maria and my first reply to you still stands.
Forget about ShareSale for the immediate future and concentrate on other income avenues with other companies.

No probs Dave, sometimes it pays to take time to read the small print.

I would agree with Robert, there are quite literally hundreds of good Affiliate Programmes out there, or if you are feeling brave enough... You could create your own : )

Thanks, Robert.

Thanks, Dave :)

You Are Welcome

I can't imagine any affiliate with their training from WA wouldn't log into an affiliate network at least once every 6 months. There's similar rules for Rakuten and CJ, by the way. CJ definitely enforces after 6 months. Rakuten and ShareASale have it as an option, but usually wait longer before taking this kind of action.

Jeanine I have stopped being surprised at what WA members get up to and how they perceive how they are going to earn an income from a website.

Most are serious about having their own business but I believe a lot of them are just playing at it and eventually leave once they find out the hard work that's involved.

Have a great Friday and the weekend ahead.
Robert

I'm already affiliated with Amazon and Click Bank and I logged if not daily, at least a couple of times per week. I have earnings and I want to try a new affiliate program. Before jumping in, I like to do a bit of research about the product. I requested some advice because I get confused by the conditions.
No personal offense :)

I think that's a very wise choice, Maria! No offense taken, ever!!! I'm glad you asked the question - this will help everyone understand how things work with various networks. I can unequivocally say that ShareASale is one of the good guys. That's why they have about 100,000 bloggers who work with them.
Best!!!

All the best to you, too :)

Very wise decision

Jeannine explains it well but I’ll given one more thing to ease your mind. Most merchants will let you purchase through your personal links or your own site and be credited with commissions. Amazon does not let you do that. If I need a company product that I also affiliate with I purchase through my ShareAsale links and get commissions on my own purchase. If you’re worried about threshold you are able to help yourself out if need be.

Thanks a lot. It seems that I got the wrong information from the beginning.

All ShareASale requires to remain active is that you log in to your account once every six months. You don't even need to make a sale. That's only a CJ requirement.

That's only if you are a merchant. You would be a publisher. You read it completely wrong.

Merchants must keep a balance of $25 so they can pay affiliate commissions.

ShareASale is an excellent network for bloggers like you. Just gotta keep those terms straight. You wandered into a section that had nothing to do with you.

Thanks, Jeannine for the clarifications.

I checke the pic sent by @Robert-A and it's exactlly the thing I was reading. What are your thoughts?

Hey Maria, I'm glad to translate all of that for you. Here's how things work.

Minimum threshold for a commission payment is $50.

You must at minimum log into your ShareASale once every 6 months, or the account will be considered abandoned.

If your account is deemed abandoned, ShareASale can assess a fee of $25 each month against the commissions which you have earned.

Unless you log into your account, that monthly fee will continue until your balance is $0, at which time the account will be closed.

So as long as you log in every 6 months, your account will remain open. You can take as long as you need to reach the payment threshold, as long as you demonstrate that you are an active affiliate. The threshold to prove you are an active affiliate is quite easy.

Hope that helps.

Hello Jeannine,

Thank you for clarifications. I have a better understanding now.

Maria

I've personally not heard of this. I've been with shareasale for months and haven't made money with them yet and my account is still intact, with no threat of deletion.

But its up to you really. If there are many products you want to promote that use shareasale, then you can apply. If not, then just stick to some of the other networks.

Hope that helps
Stephanie

You hadn't heard of it Stephanie because it does not involve affiliates, it involves merchants. Maria went to the wrong section on the ShareASale website.

Ooh ok, that makes sense. Thanks for passing on the info :)

I just looked back at their site and they have an affiliate spot in the menu. I thought I signed up as an affiliate.

Leave it be for the foreseeable future and try something else with no thresholds.

Since you're an Ambassador, I really want you to know this about the ShareASale network.

The $25 minimum is for MERCHANTS, not affiliates. Maria was looking in the wrong place on their site. There's no threshold requirement like this for bloggers.

Hello Jeanine
There is a threshold if the affiliate doesn't work on a regular basis -

here is what they say -

Affiliate accounts that are left inactive will be removed from our system if their balance is equal to or less than $25.

Robert

So, if you generate commissions below $25 and you get stuck there, chances are, soon, your little hard earned commissions will also be forfeited. That sounds unfair.

Unfair or not that is part of the agreement.

See my pic I have highlighted the part for affiliates

Actually, you won't lose your hard earned commissions if you simply log into your account at least once every 6 months. I don't think that's asking too much, do you?

Did not know that. What is the threshold?

Since you are in the Top 100, I really want you to know this about ShareASale.

The threshold is a minimum for merchants, not publishers. It's to ensure that there is money in the merchant account to pay publisher commissions.

Maria wandered into the wrong area of the ShareASale website.

Thanks, I signed up with them but haven't had time to really start selling for them yet. Are you using them? Amazon is the big boy, but they got so many rules and don't pay very high commissions.

Learn something every hour.

I feel its not worth it I haven't even earned 1cent yet lol

So you know, Lenny, that is a requirement for Merchants, not affiliates. Maria went into the wrong section of the ShareASale website.

There is no minimum for publishers on ShareASale to keep their account open.

Really thank you, are you sure? I will have to look at it again

Yup, no minimum earned to keep your account open on ShareASale. The only requirement is that you log into your account at least once every 6 months.

Hello all, I would like to hear your thoughts about affiliate links. If you find a product which has an affiliate program and it’s also on Amazon, which affiliate link is

Great question. I was wondering this myself. Specifically I had the impression that buyers may prefer Amazon because it’s well know, is from my experience easy to return items and receive a refund and they offer Prime!

Would love to hear the opinions and experiences of others who have tried both!

Hey Maria,

Once I discovered that the Amazon OneLink no longer works on their images, I removed all Amazon image and iframe links on all of my sites. Now I only ever use their text links (which apparently are not always working in OneLink either lately).

One book in particular, I really wanted to be able to offer it on my business site for my DIY readers... that book, I discovered was being offered through another vendor that I am an affiliate with. So I was able change where my affiliate link pointed (along with the image, of course)... and no one would have been any the wiser.

Hope you find this helpful.

Hello Triblu,

Yes, we can go with the vendor's link, but as we know, Amazon is well know. I'm waiting so see more replies.

This is an excellent question as one of our team members was just lamenting the long time it took for Amazon to pay its affiliate marketers. I will be watching for answers here. Thank for the question.

You're welcome. I'm also waiting for answers.
