So, I share my post on G+ and there is always a silhouette of a round head and shoulders at the top. Can anyone tell me why?
A post from your blog, or from WA? It's likely because it doesn't know which image to choose from your website when you share it. Can you post the link you are trying to share here?

G+ is looking for the feature image within your blog post. Add that to your post and you'll be good to go.
You will also have other image options if you have images within your post as well

I'm getting ready to write a blog inspired by an author about her life and am wondering how much I can say? It would be approximately 200-300 words on her. She isn't the only pe
400-500 is recommended for a minimum, but don't stretch out content if it doesn't need to be that long. No reason to write stuff longer just because google "says so".
Write as much as you need to. No more, no less.
Sounds good, You can write as much as you like, I would always recommend you exceed 500 words in your posts for better ranking.
Can you talk about an authors story at any length?

And in a forum I read this:
(Google doesn't show pictures anymore as we know). Is this true? Have I been pulling my hair out all for naught??
WA should (if they haven't already) add a statement on that lesson, explaining Google's change. It would just be a simple text entry.
LOTS of people are wasting precious hours trying to chase what they think might be an error.

Yes, it would definitely help with time, effort and frustration if the lessons were updated as things change.
If you're talking about your own photo appearing in search results because you are the author or owner of the content, I did read where they stopped putting photos there. Kyle's video says it should appear, because he recorded it prior to the change.
I'm not sure I understand your question. I just went to Google Images and searched for pictures of trees. Got about 80 pages of pictures. I use Google all the time - several times a day for all sorts of pictures. I must not be understanding your question.

I thought there used to be comments available after posts, but they're not there, only on the individual pages. Does this sound right?

Adsense says they are installed and should show up but they're not there. I've deleted the placements and reinstalled them but still nothing!
I changed the plug in and made sure it was accepted and activated, so i will give it a couple of days and hopefuly it will work. Thanks.
I put in the codes and plugin more than a week ago and still have no ads showing. Any suggestions? workingfromhomeworks.mywahosting.com
Just wait, on one of my websites I can see the ads but my friend can't. They will appear when Adsense gets used to your website and your demographics. ~Marion
Thanks for the response guys. OK, I'll give it another day or so, and if nothing shows up, I'll revisit the issue. Many thanks!
Hello Margot,
When did you place the ads?
It may require some time before they get served to your website as relevance and other factors need to be evaluated by Google.
Give it a couple of days before raising the Google Adsense alarm LOL
Provide the URL of your site and if possible the Ad placement location to check.
