YouTube Video Description - Use Your Video Script
I've heard that it's good to write a few hundred words in the decription on YouTube. As Jay once said in one of his training sessions, you need to treat it like a mini article in itself.
I don't know about you, but whenever I create videos, I write a script to work from. So I suddenly realised that I could just copy and paste the text from my script. I did that on my new video, and it's 750 words!
Within just a few minutes, my video is already on page 1 for one keyword and page 2 for another keyword.
Other things I did that probably helped it rank:
- Keyword in the title.
- Keyword in tags section.
- Keyword mentioned in start and end of description.
- Keyword mentioned in start and end of actual video (YouTube has voice recognition so it will likely spot the mentions of the keyword).
- Keywords also listed at the end of the description like this: Tags: keyword 1, keyword 2, keyword 3, etc.

Yes, " cut, copy, and paste." are all very useful and saves time. Although you mentioned "copy n paste only," still a big time saver with the same degree of importance.

Also have the link to your website the first thing in your discription.
Also include the link that is created by YouTube at the bottom of the discription. And another little trick is include your domain name as one of the tags.
So have your first tag the title keyword, and then your domain name as another keyword tag. What this does is gives a relationship to all your videos.
As you've noticed in the side bar of YouTube are related (suggested) videos, and these videos are related by keywords and other metrics.
If you have your domain name as a keyword tag more of your related videos can appear in the sidebar.
Yes, this unique tag is very important, too.
The guy I learned YouTube marketing from called it the "secret tag". ^^

It is also important to put as many keywords in the tags as possible.
Not only your main keyword.
Just make sure that all those tags also appear in the description.
If you put keywords in the tags section that are not in the description, you might get punished for "tag spamming".

I have 8 keywords as tags, and they are definitely all in the description because I listed them at the bottom of the decription.
