Things I Like About Wealthy Affiliate
To balance out my last post, I thought I would write something positive about WA this time.
These are things that I like about WA. I'm not going to list everything that might be considered good, but rather create a personal list of the things I particularly like. This is not necessarily an exhaustive list, just whatever comes to mind right now.
Web Hosting & Technical Support
Creating a website at WA is super easy. Just a few clicks and you're done. Even if you're using WordPress, on other web hosting it's never quite as quick as easy as this.
I also really like SiteSupport. Nearly every time I have had a problem with my website, they respond quickly and sort it out. I say nearly because there was one time when I did something daft that baffled the SiteSupport team so much that they had no idea how to help me and they eventually stopped responding to me.
But that was entirely my own fault because I took the risk of using CloudFlare CDN, which involved pointing my domain at the CloudFlare servers instead of WA, which cause the WA hosting to automatically delete my website.
Relax, don't shit your underpants. I got my site back eventually after Kyle and Carson got involved and sorted it for me.
Keyword Tool
Yes, I'm actually talking about the standard WA keyword tool. I don't use Jaaxy.
Okay, I know it's not got loads of features. It's simple, but it works, and it's right here within WA. Anytime I want to quickly find out the searches and competition for a keyword and other related search terms, click click and it's done.
Video Tutorials Created by Members
Yes, I know I have sometimes complained about how people can tend to create training about anything and everything, and a lot of it is basic stuff...but looking at it from the other point of view, some of it is pretty helpful.
We can pick and choose which training we think will help us, and sometimes it's great to watch a 10 minute video of someone showing us something we didn't know before.
For example:

- How to Watch Your Visitors Get Undressed. No, wait, I mean How to Watch Your Visitors as They Navigate Your Site by Jim-Bo.
- How to Create a Clickable Table of Contents by Me.
Quick Help from Members
I've nearly always been pleased at how quickly I get replies when I post a question to one of the classrooms. Sometimes people don't know the answer, but usually they are able to point you in the direction of some training.
Marion's Australian Voice
I don't know why.
Also, she's very helpful, and a lovely person, from what I can tell by the words she she writes and the videos she makes. I've never met her, though. She might be completely different in real life, for all I know.
Look, just be careful when meeting people for the first time, that's all I'm saying.
Jim-Bo's Amazing Technicolor Dreamtrousers
No, I dont know what this means either. I just really wanted to use that phrase.
But Jim-Bo definitely makes being at WA more interesting and enjoyable, so I'm grateful for that.

Haha, thanks for the invitation. I don't actually have Skype at the moment. I tend not to do live chats like that. But maybe we should one day?
I tend to plan out my days quite a lot, and I'm always a bit concerned live chats like that could drain too much time. I'd be more likely to do it if there was something specific we were going to discuss.
I tend to like being quite structured, so I'd probably end up wanting to write up an agenda of specific topics to discuss. This would probably drive Jim-Bo crazy as he'd probably want to just "shoot from the hip" and see what happens.
We don't have an agenda and sometimes we discuss even mundane things like the weather. Other times we learn new stuff from each other. It's surprising what useful info comes out of these chats.
We don't set up a formal time usually. We leave each other messages and if we're both online at the same time we message back and forth. Occasionally we use our cameras and have a face to face, but usually we use text.
Adelaide is 2 and a half hours ahead of Bangkok and 10 and a half hours ahead of UK. Right now it's 9:18 pm in London (Tuesday) and 4:18 am (Wednesday) in Bangkok and 7:48 am (Wednesday) in Adelaide. The time factor is why I sometimes call Australia "Tomorrowland".

The Web Hosting & Technical Support are the best I've seen. This past year, I have transferred all my websites here. Also, the members here & all the help they give is more than amazing.
Thank you for the reminder Marcus we can get so busy that we forget what we have available it even worse we don't use the resources that we have.
It's actually pretty amazing that we have access to all of these tools and resources for such a low price!
Thanks for pointing out all the great things about the WA Marcus. I think I would have to say out of all the features in the WA, it would have to be watching the training videos. I myself tend to learn more by watching how something is done rather than reading about how it is done.
The training videos that are done within the community are great and I wish I could learn the process of how they are done, but I am finding the ones I get from Kyle and Jay to be more essential.
Jays webinars I find are not only a learning experience for me, but I also find them to be entertaining because he also adds a sense of humor to his work to make them fun to watch.
I always thought you were a harsh critic in a positive way but I see a softer side to you - Incidentally critics are your best guide
