You can rank for extra keywords that people write in your comments.
On my main website, I have a review of K Money Mastery which ranks very well. But this review also ranks at #4 for "project life mastery review", even though that phrase is nowhere in my actual post. Someone mentioned Project Life Mastery in a comment.
That phrase was mentioned just once, and wasn't even phrased as "project life mastery review", just as "project life mastery". Yet Google still ranks this post at #4 for that search phrase because...well...Google is clever like that.
So keep putting the great content out there and keep getting the comments.

Yeah, I have heard of this that keywords in comments help your ranking.
But how do you ensure and incentivize that folks will write comments on your website at all?
Yes, I have several comments ranked and also tags, categories, images. Google ranks everything on our websites :)
Yes, I have seen this in my posts, many keywords that came through comments.
