Autoptimize: Warning, Can Cause Problems with Comments
The Autoptimize plugin was causing a problem on one of my websites where people could not post comments; but it doesn't cause this problem on my other website. So I have it installed on one website but not the other. Strange.
I have also added a warning to that part of my training on how to speed up your website.
If you have Autoptimize installed, make sure commenting works. You can do this by opening your website in an Incognito window in Chrome and trying to post a test comment.

thank you for the heads up, not one that I use but it pays to know just in case have a good weekend
It's strange how some plugins cause problems with some sites - conflicts with other plugins and also, I think, the theme being used.
Never had a problem with Autoptimize, but had the same issue with comments on one site recently and that was caused by WP-Spamshield, which I use on a few sites & no issues with the others at all. Replaced it with Spambee and everything was fine when people try to post a comment.
Yes, but here's the strange thing: both sites use the same WordPress theme. Slightly different combination of plugins, though, so it could be Autoptimize conflicting with another plugin. But disabling Autoptimize seemed to solve the problem so that's what I've done for the moment.
When you have WP-spamfield you need to check the box for 'Allow users behind proxy servers to comment
