This is a proven simple method used by industry expects to solve problems once and for all. Today, it gives great privilege to share this with you.

I have been working in operations and have a chance to work with many big companies in the world. Whenever we face a problem, we use this steps to eliminate the chance from it to happen again.

Root Cause

There is a saying, when you cut the grass and do not remove the root, it will grow again over time. When there is a problem, you need to identify what is the root cause else you are not solving the problem but delaying it from happening again.

For example, you have been gaining weight, you immediate reaction is to exercise, diet. You may see results however more often than never, you will gain weight over time.

This happened to me as I realize my root cause was insufficient sleep and stress. When I was not working for 3 months, I lost 4 kg without little exercise and no dieting.

Now than I am back to my 9 to 5 work, I gained 1 kg over a period 1 month.

Corrective Action

Once there is a problem, you need to take corrective action immediately. Using weight loss as an example, that will be to exercise and watch your diet. However you need to understand the root cause and apply solution to it.

Preventive Measure

Now that you understand the root cause. How to prevent this from happening, This is very important as shared in the beginning. You need to remove the root or the grass will grow again. Taking the weight loss as the example again, I need to ensure I have enough rest and reduce stress. How to do it? I am working on my online business which I love and in time I will be able to leave my stressful 9 to 5 jobs and have more time for my family as well.
