Having Traffic Is Not Good Enough
You may have a lot of visitors but are you making the sales? Having lots of traffic is good but you need the sales to generate income. So what's the key point here?
There are 2 steps. One is to get traffic. There are a lot of articles on this topic. I shall not elaborate. The next is to convert them to sales. Allow me to elaborate.
Conversion
First, you need to know what is CTR or Click Through Rate. It means how many visitor click on the link after landing on your page. The recommended rate is 2.69% for e commerce.
This information can be found in Google Search Console. If you are scoring lower, it will mean you are unable to get visitors to click on your link.
You need to look at your content and make changes to increase CTR or write another article that can produce higher CTR.
My CTR Is Good But No Sales
If you have very good CTR and no sales is generated, than you will need to look at the product or service you are marketing. In such scenario, since you are able to make changes to them, you may want to recommend another product or service.

Marc, for those scoring a very low CTR it's critical to make sure meta titles and descriptions are enticing enough for people to read them and decide to click through to the actual article.
If webmasters (us) don't write their own description, Google will put together their own based on the article content but that might not be enticing enough for those seeing the link on SERPs to actually bother to go to the article itself.
