Should I have gone to the free site first? Because for my second site I purchased a dot com site instead. But its been a week and site is not Google Indexed yet.
You may speed up the process by registering with GSC, GA etc.
However in the normal scenario, it takes a good two weeks for a dot com to be indexed in the search engines.

I have several blogged articles and as you scroll down currently it is all one color. Is there a way to change the color individually for each Blog ?
Hey Ray,
Seeing as you have already received answers to your question, I'm hoping that you won't mind my chiming in here with an opinion.
I have a tendency to NOT offer an option on anything... but for some reason, I have the urge to, here.
So... here goes.
When visiting sites with coloured backgrounds, I tend to leave them for the more basic white background.
Why?
Well, because I'm interested in information, and a white background with sizable text works best for me, and I've learned that serious, and more professional site owners never use coloured backgrounds behind the text.
Have you visited a university website, for example?
The K.I.S.S. principle works simply because people want information presented in a professional manner... proper grammar and spelling, etc... but not necessarily the ambience that coloured backgrounds tend to emit.
Hope you find this helpful.
Thank you for that input of info I guess I was just thinking it would be less boring to read .
Thank you
You can make your content less boring to read by simply writing though you're speaking to a friend. You know... show excitement, when you're excited to share information that you've discovered... that sort of thing.
That's why the saying "the pen is mightier than the sword" came to be.
The gift of words really can stimulate and motivate when used correctly.
Just NEVER, EVER use words to manipulate with lies, for obvious reasons.
Ask yourself about the last time you sought information online... did you care about the colour of the background of the site you visited?
I too used to be stuck with design issues that really don't matter. Layout does, but design really doesn't matter as much as quality content.
when you are editing the post then if you look across to hte right sidebar you get to change the colour of the background...
if you add in the twentig plugin you get ot change the text and background colour...
and other bits like spacing between paragraphs and headings....

One of my Post Headers shows up in Blue letters. Do you know where I go to change that to black and also to change the font ?
Thank You
Your theme should provide a way to change those in
Wordpress backoffice -> appearance -> customize (your options are something like global settings. or site settings)

Instead of having a white background on my Posts can I choose the color for on the pages?
And where do I go?
thank you,
Ray
I was there but did not see where I could do that, I can change the color of the text itself but not the actual background it still remains white.
You will need to find a theme that has this feature then. Usually, a white background is optimal for readers so keep this in mind.
