Or do they have to be 2 separate niches?
Personally I would create two more targetted blogs, one for Movies and one for Music.
If you were to make it as one blog, in time as you add more and more content it could become to diverse and confusing.
Your audience may become confused as they browse your site looking for one thing and finding another. Keep it simple...
These are 2 areas I have interests in. I find that they are very broad as they are. I've found this guy (whose a WA member) very helpful in giving great tips on getting the right niche. http://nichehacks.com/ultimate-guide-finding-niche-market
You can if your niche is "movie music". If it is other types of music as well, then they should probably be separated.
However, if your niche is broader, e.g. "entertainment" or "audio visual entertainment", then you can include content from both. It's fine as long as it makes sense to your target audience and when they arrive at your site they find what they were searching for. ~Jude
Can I do movies and music together as one niche?
Or do they have to be 2 separate niches?
No, they do not have to be separate niches you can very much do music and movies together, although a bit broad.
