This topic is about hitting the sweet spot of what ever you are doing.

A lot of us are working in isolation in some way.or another. Yes there is this great platform here however in the end it is up to you to finish the training, implement the strategies and increase sales/revenue.

More recently, I have had to wrestle with a few anomalies in the process of building subscriber's lists, a simple call to action, SEO plugins, theme coding issues and Google Site Errors. It is frustrating that the technical issues take a while to sort given a third party need to fix or respond the query.

I thought my communication skills were good until recently.

When speaking to technical staff off platform, it seems I am not that good as it take 3/4 messages to get the information I need to fix my problems.

This is how it goes.

Me: Can you please advise me of the correct coding to ensure mobile usability of my content. Currently Google has raised this issue on my site content called "mysite". And I attach a picture.

TWO DAYS LATER

Them: Please send a picture of the error.

Me: Please find attached a picture of the problem and Google error message.

TWO DAYS LATER

Them: Sorry we don't understand the problem.

Me; The content in the attached image below goes off-screen when you are in a mobile phone.

TWO DAYS LATER
Them: We can't understand the exact issue. Can you please elaborate?

Me: Please find attached a copy of the error from google and attached image showing the content is going off-screen with mobile usability. Please also find attached settings for screen measurements embedded in your theme. Is there a way to enhance mobile usability by additional code from the Theme provider?

I'm waiting another 2 days.

Besides having the patience of a Saint.

I have run into this kind of stalling tactics about 4 times in the last week and it is a time waster.

I also say to my family member,

Don't come to me with a problem,

Come to me with a solution.

This is my solution to the problem in case anyone suffers in silence of the same fate;

  1. Clearing state your question in at least 3 ways.
  2. Do not give up
  3. If after the 3 attempt to communicate a matter is not resolved then do 4.
  4. Lodge a complaint through the proper channels or ask for your money back.

I think you know what my next job is today.

Yes, lodge a professional and calm complaint form with the appropriate person. Still, a big time waster but I can't move forward without assistance from the theme provider.

I hope this strategy works for you too.

Have a Great Day! Stay Safe and Well!

Stating the question clearly and directly to the point makes a lot of difference in finding answers in google or in our Help Center. Cheers! 💝💞💓💖💗🌟👍💯

Thanks I think I’m closer to a resolution today. Sorted it out on their chat site instead of email and got the matter escalated.

That’s interesting to know. Email not effective on technical issues. Chat Session much better. I remember that next time I get a technical issue. Thanks for your comment. Jen

Welcome, Jen. All the best! 😎💝🌹👍

Hey Jen, I hear your frustration but my first question would be (in answer to your question about mobile viewing issues) are you using a responsive theme?

If you are not using a "responsive" theme then you will indeed have problems viewing your site on a mobile/cell/tablet like device.

A responsive theme will display all of your content in a way that it shows correctly when viewed on a mobile device, in other words you won't have to pinch to zoom to read text or see images, that sort of thing.

Is this your problem or am I missing the point somewhere?

Mark

Hi Mark, the theme is promoted as highly responsive but it seems that for me it’s not. Images need to be a high pixa, and fonts are interchangeable. However it seems the theme missed a size limit on content width.

Last night I finally got onto a technical person through their message system not email and they understood exactly what I meant and escalated my request. Otherwise I was ready to deactivate. I feel I’m moving forwards with my request.

Thanks for your concern. Jen

No problem Jen and I hope that escalation guy sorts it out for you pronto!
What really frustrates the heck out of me is being on a roll with some task or other and being stopped dead in my tracks by something simple or stupid like not being able to find the right tool.
Keep onto them I say!
Mark

Hi Jen. In the end we need extra effort to find the solution by ourselves. And indeed be patient to everything. Anger or giving up is not an opinion in achieving your goals. Awesome post. Thanks for sharing🌹👍🆗💲💰⌚🏆

Thank you, yes patience is the lesson here. Finding a creative ways to resolve a problem. Maybe hopping on to community site on Wordpress will help me. Thanks Jen

I am confident everything will fall into its place for as long as you maintain your patience. I wish you success in online business.

Hellwoe, this Hing, how may I hell you???

That was a real response from a tech support call I made some years ago. Of course, I responded that I needed no help getting to hell, that I was already there.

Cheers,

Michael

Hi Michael, yes it is a kind of hell lol. Thanks for your comment. Jen
