Now that I have my own domain name, when I go to site rubix it shows I still have my other siterubix site. If I delete it, will it affect my new website?

Cool stuff, thank you for the clarification peeps!

Thanks to ask this question, in reading the info in the answers it is helping me how to take action in the future aswell,

Thank you for all the helpfull responses below aswell

Yonah

Your welcome Yonah. People at WA are so amazingly helpful! :)

I might be a bit late on this, but Kyle suggests we hold onto our siterubix site for awhile because your siterubix site automatically redirects to your new website by the move feature. This means that any pages you already had indexed will actually help to get your new domain website indexed faster.

Ok thanks Michelle, I'll just leave it sitting there. I was hoping that it wasn't causing any cross overs or website confusion. Thanks for your help :)

Sure, no problem. You're better off to let it sit for 30 days. There is no issue with any crossover of information, so you don't need to worry about that. :)

Great thanks again :)

Thanks Michelle! I've taken note of that as well for future reference.
Blessings!
Dan

Hi Dan. Glad to help out. Blessings to you as well. :)

Once you have transferred to your new domain, you can delete site rubix.

Ok thankyou :)

Hi MaisieJane,
Some questions to find out exactly where you're at....
1) Have you just purchased your domain name?
2) If so have you directed the nameservers to that of WA so it can be hosted on WA servers?
3) Have you moved your siterubix site to your new domain?

I think if you have done the first 2 then you will need to move your current free siterubix site to your new domain....
Can try and adivce you better once I know where you're at.
Blessings!
Dan

Hi Dan, thanks for the quick reply! I purchased my domain name about 10 days ago & have been building my website on that. WA is now hosting my domain name website, now my siterubix site is just sitting there without use. Is it safe to delete it?

Well, Jeffrey said it as it is......curious to know, you started building your website on your new domain, and did not transfer all you hard work over from your free siterubix site? You could have transferred it over then it would have save you the time. If you did it already then great and move on as Jeff as said, but if you didn't, make sure you got all you want form it, then in future when you build other free sites, you may want to transfer them over, once you have purchased a domain name.
Hope this helps!
Blessings!
Dan

Yes I did transfer it over - not that there was much to transfer at the time. Thanks so much for your advice Dan & taking the time to help me out :) :) :)

Is it ok to copy and paste product reviews on to my website?

I highly recommend against copy & paste any published content. Duplicate content is penalized by Google. This means that the duplicate will fall into darkness and be red flagged as such by Google.

If it's your own review you want to publish somewhere else besides your website, then write some info text and link to the review on your website. This will keep Google calm and sets a real and relevant back link to your website.

Now when you're talking about someone else's review, you may actually violate copyright issues, risk complaints, etc. (depends who created it, company, etc). What you can do is get ideas, write down a bullet list of the cherries from that review and rewrite the review with your own words in your own unique way.

Duplicate content is talked over in the training and not recommended. :)

All the best,
Nicole

Ok yes that makes sense, thanks for replying Nicole :)

I don't think it is a good idea, when Google see two same websites, it can down grade the both as not Original.
What you can do is copy it - since it is your own, paste it and ad content to it - or change a bit around.

Ok great, thankyou :)

I think they cover duplicate content in the training...do you mean a copy of a review from another site onto yours? I'm pretty sure Kyle said that Google does not like that

Hi there, yes I mean copy & paste from my affiliate website to promote my niche

I guess if the company says it's OK...so you would need their permission...the only issue is that duplicate content thing...which would not be an issue if you used a screen dump of the reviews but again you would need the approval of the company...just thinking out loud here

Ok thankyou for that info :)

Can you explain a screen dump please?

screen capture :)

Ah ok thanks :)
