I would keep citations and quotes from other sites with links to them. It helps you with Google rankings, and it gives credit to the original authors. Yes, it is good to use a duplicate content checker, and yes, 100% duplicate content free is a good number.
Here is a tool I use that might help you for checking your English.
I like to use this tool together with Grammarly
I live and work in Japan, and I use this tool to help me improve my English writing.

I do not use it as a translator though. I use it to check my English. First I put in my article, and then translate it to another language, for example, Japanese, because I the tool was developed in Japan.
Then I swap the languages and translate Japanese back into English.
The result is you have newly worded English with better readability.
I will attached a simple guide.

Hi - no, Amazon has the strictest rules of any affiliate program. You cannot use videos from their product pages.
You can only use the one image they supply you with through the Site Stripe bar, and you have to add it using the HTML code. You cannot copy and paste any other images.
