Hospitalized - 28 Days Later

Last Update: December 21, 2018

Hey Folks,

I wanted to share with you why I have been away from WA for a while.

On Dec. 31, 2014 I was sick with the flu.. or so I thought.

I woke up that morning very short of breath to the point where I was panicking. So, I ended up calling 911 for a trip to hospital to see what was going on.

It turned out that I had pneumonia and invasive Strep A in my bloodstream which was causing toxic shock to my organs. Because of this, some of my organs were shutting down

Whoosh! Next thing I knew, I was in the Intensive Care Unit hooked up to a bunch of machines as you can see below.

I was told that the 1st few days were touch and go and that the nurses were not sure if I was going to make it. So, in a last ditch effort they tried straight up Penicillin and boom! I was responding to the meds and started to get better.

So, slowly I crept up to the point where I was able to get out of ICU and be placed in a private room where I can recover and focus on the ridding myself of the pneumonia to get my breath back.

After a LONG 28 Days, I am happy to say that I am out of the hospital almost fully mended! Here is a pic of me taking my first breath of fresh outside air.

I want to thank everyone at WA for the positive vibes and prayers. I can confidently say that they were a contributing factor to my recovery.

See you in the Webinars! :)

Amazing story indeed. WA would not be the same without Jay. Do you know what caused the pneumonia and invasive Strep A in the first place?

Well well,
Happy you are back on your feet. Things like that do give us a glimse of this fleeting race called life and a real sense of our own mortality. I sincerely pray you recovered fully and that your sights are more tuned two dimentionally to time and eternity. Wishing you all the best. You certainly look too young to be preparing to go anywhere out of this world now, so please resolve to stick around for those of us who need your help....that is the selfish side of the request right? The unselfish side of the request is simply, we want you alive. Blessings. Esther

It's so awesome to hear you are recovering from being ill. We have all missed you and I have missed the webinars. I just wish I could figure out why I can't hear you.

I'm still having trouble with my sound on the go to webinar program. The sound works perfectly for everything else just not the live webinars. I can also hear the recorded ones just fine so I'm not sure what it could be.

Anyway welcome back man and I'm glad you're feeling better. You have been missed at WA.

Welcome back Jay! So happy you are back. Many inquired about you daily. We were all pulling for you every single day. It is very fortunate you called 911 and had the opportunity to get treatment for that type of strep.

I would say take care of yourself, but I know you will as you have a wonderful little family that needs you more than anything! Glad you are better and hope to learn much from you in the future!
