Are Related Posts Good as Internal Links?
Can you use Related Posts widgets as internal links?
Hi Folks,
In my last expert video short:
What's The Best Internal Link at the End of Your Article?
We determined that creating a single internal link at the end of a post is a great way to create engagement.
In today's video, we answer the question: Can you use a related posts widget as a source for an internal link CTA?
Have a watch and let me know your thoughts!
Do you have a theme related related posts widget at the bottom of your posts? Let me know in the comments below!

Thanks Jay.
I do have a theme related posts widget and now I also use your tip from the previous video (CTA internal link).
Hi Jay,
Thanks for the tip. Always good to see what other people are doing.
I also prefer the manual option for related posts.
I have used a Category block with a query loop, and it has served its purpose.
Great post.

Hi Jay thanks for that. Good to see different ways to add related posts at the end.
I use a plugin called Contextual Related Posts here instead of giving me a carousel like you shown with the last two, this plugin only shows related posts to the current post rather than just giving random posts.
I have found that way to be useful as well.
But great to see other options available
Thanks for mentioning this plugin. I knew there was something. Like it, but this mention narrowed my search.

Yes Jay, I do have an automated related posts widget showing up at the bottom, but I also make it a point to add manual internal links just like you suggested, especially if I feel a specific post might really interest the reader:)
