5 Simple Guerrilla Marketing Techniques for Your Website
Have you ever seen an ad in the streets where it is completely off the wall that it made you remember it?
Perhaps you've seen a banner or sticker somewhere with struck your curiosity to the point where you visit the advertised website?
If you said Yes, then you have been exposed to Guerrilla marketing.
Guerrilla marketing was originally a marketing strategy in which low-cost, unconventional means (including the use of graffiti, sticker bombing, flyer posting, etc.) were used in a (generally) localized fashion to draw attention to an idea, product, or service. Today, guerrilla marketing may also include promotion through a network of individuals, groups, or organizations working to popularize a product or idea by use of such strategies as flash mobs, viral marketing campaigns, or internet marketing. Now that you have an idea about guerrilla marketing, how can we use this to promote our own websites? Here are a few simple and easy ways you can get your business more exposure.
1. Make T-Shirts
Have a shirt with your brand or website on it is a great way to provide some simple exposure to your brand.
2. Post some Flyers
Create some flyers with those little cut-outs at the bottom with your website on it.
3. Have some unique business cards
There is nothing wrong with having a set of business cards with your Business name on it along with your website.
4. Pay it forward
Become a parking meter fairy and pay for people's meters and then add a card on their windshield saying: 'Parking provided by [business website]'.
5. Create some bookmarks
Head to the library and place some bookmarks (with your URL on it) within books that are related to your niche or sector.
Time to Get creative
When it comes to business exposure, do something that will stand out, focus on being humorous or mysterious that will intrigue people to the point where they will visit your website.
What can YOU do to make YOUR business stand out from the crowd?
