Can anyone tell me how to change the line spacing when you use bullet points in a post. My text does not have enough spaces and looks cramped. Does anyone know how to alter t
You can also adjust in txt with the wp editor, and have line instead of paragraph.
Since it is more time consuming i usually write in my notepad and copypast later
It is both easy and not easy.
It requires editing of the css element that controls the bullet elements.
If you use a premium theme, the theme provider should be able to give you a piece of css to fix the issue.
If you use a free theme, you need to create a child theme and edit the css there.
Great question. I usually just press enter to break things up. Other wise I have added a plug in that controls tables and I can break things up this way as well. Sorry I can't help more.

I have worked through the training and completed each task in each lesson as I went.
Sometimes I felt it would have been better to read through the training in the 1
I like to do the video, start, knowing I can go back to the text...a preview, so to speak!
Barb
I have the exact same feeling in that reading the lesson and doing the task, yet later on I want to go back and change it because of something else I learned. I guess we can always go back and re-do. It's what I'm doing.
Yes, that is exactly what I mean. It is a case of 'if I knew in the beginning what I know now I would have done things differently'.
Which way works better for you - do it that way. But remember, we all will make mistakes. If you do and need help fixing it we all are here to help you. But which ever way is more comfortable for you to learn, do it that way. This is not a rat race to get a site up.
Everyone is right. The bottom line is everyone learns best differently. If it works best for you to go through and read everything first then go back and do the lessons again while performing the work, then great! Do it that way. Just make sure you don't miss anything when you go back the second time.
Marc
Based on my experiences, it is better to do the task per the training request, so you will have a better experiences and know what issues/problem you will encounter and solve it. If there is any doubt, you can also raise after the individual training. I believe Kyle prefer the training method here to be action style. Wish you gain as much knowledge as you progress the training lesson, one by one. Cheer to you, my friend at WA.
Yes, you are right. Kyle does recommend doing the training that way. I am just thinking that if you read the training first then you know what is coming next and this may mean you do things differently. I don't mean jump ahead and do the lessons out of order. More like when you do an exam you have a quick look through the questions first, before you get started.
It is fine as long as the method is more effective to you. Sometimes when I read book I too like to go to last page and read backwards instead. Good to free our mind sometimes. Wish you well for all the learning.
I think it totally depends on your style of learning. For me, I did the same thing you did. As a task was being explained to me, I actually went in and did it at the same time. I am a hands-on learner, so doing it as I went along was better for me.
I always took good notes, so if I ever needed to go back to redo something, I would make a note of it and go back.
I don't think there's a right or wrong answer with the method of doing this - especially for us who are very new to this. I am certainly way out of my comfort zone with this but I am constantly learning and because this community is so encouraging, I don't hesitate to ask questions.
I am sure you will be just fine. I wish you all the best.
Regards,
Yvette
I am not really a newbie anymore and am at the end of the training. Wealthy Affiliate is awesome.
I am like you and I learn by reading and doing. In that respect, WA has met my learning style perfectly.
I just think sometimes I would have done things differently if I had read the training first so I knew what was coming next. Maybe I would have done things differently; maybe not.
That's what I am doing. I always read and then come back and do the training. Good Luck to you. WA is a blessing. Have a great night
Thanks. I would love to hear how that is working for you. I have pretty much finished all the training and am now going back over it because things have been upgraded since I did it.

Is it possible to remove the post revisions? I have a lot of them and I think they are slowing my sites loading time. Does anyone have the answer to this problem?
When you write a post in WordPress and save it as a draft that draft copy stays there. If you save your post as a draft a few times all the draft copies remain in WordPress. It is only the last revision that you post. All the draft copies remain in Wordpress and they are the ones I want to delete.
You can use this plugin for that:
Optimize Database after Deleting Revisions
https://wordpress.org/plugins/rvg-optimize-database/
Cheers!
Always backup your website, first! Full Backup With a Plugin Here's my share on WP Optimize: Discovered a Great Plugin
Deleting old revisions of your posts is not harmful. You can choose how many old revisions that will be deleted. Per default, the plugin keeps the last 3 revisions for each post/page.
Also, as Premium member, you're covered with daily website backups, so if anything would go wrong, let's say you delete your old revisions and it appears, in the unlikely event, you needed that 4th or 5th oldest revision, you can always contact Site Support.
Cheers!
Hey Jurgen,
It is always good practice to backup your website when making ANY major changes. That can be changes from updating WordPress, to updating or changing a theme.
Yes, SiteSupport is there in case of emergencies.
Thanks for your help. I actually used WP Optimize and it was really easy so will stick with it whenever I want a cleanup.

How can I stop the search engines crawling my post when I am using Yoast? If I want to hide a post from Google etc do I have to use All In One SEO?
Something like a privacy policy might get flagged as duplicate content.
A blog post posted in two places might also want to be hidden.
Basically, the indexing google algorithims can make your rank worse in certain scenarios like that, and it would preferably for them to not be indexed.
A better example of this is if you want a post to be be shared on a popular site. Google might think your websites copy of that post is copied from them. So you would want the website your reposting the blog on to hide your post from google so it doesnt effect your native posts ranking.
Not a problem Magie. In yoast there's a gear icon (at least I think it looks like a gear) and that is for the 'Advanced' setting. You'll find noindex and nofollow in the advanced settings.

That is where I asked this question. Not sure why it ended up here.
