Its not a Goodbye forever, just for now... I wish there was a "freeze" button on my account so i could freeze it and get back to it in 2,3 or 4 months when my money situation pi

Can you host it somewhere else for now - that costs less money?

I am with Annnika on this one. I would shoot Kyle or Carson a PM. There's no reason that you should lose your website. It may be a bit of a hassle, but if this is something you'd like to maintain in the future, don't give it up so fast!

I was speaking with Coach Ed (@croninweb) and I think he mentioned that he had spoken to you as well and that he believes your website has a lot of potential! If you have chosen a niche that you are passionate about and you see your teething relief site moving forward, than I would look into other options...

Hope you will have better days and we will you see back soon. Thanks for your support.

Hope things get better for you and we see you back here soon!

All the best and please return soon

Best wishes!! :)

Good luck - look forward to seeing you again.

We'll miss you! Thanks for keeping us up-to-date!

I'm thinking about calling it quits. I haven't been able to work on my website for the past two weeks.

Life got in the way.

I can't stand still with the website and

Oh my dear Magdalena, having been where you are, disappointed after a few months of hard work with no significant reward I can understand why quitting would be one of your options. Thank goodness for the hundreds of thousands of successful business entrepreneurs that refused to quit when they hit the wall of discouragement.

Thank goodness for those who believed so strongly in their dreams that they refused to quit. Without them we would not have the luxury of the many wonderful things they created or promoted to help us solve our problems.

Having coached a number of hopeful online business owners I can say with confidence:
1) Focus first on helping your ideal customer get what they want most before you focus on the monetization of your site. Add a bunch of content all focused on helping your readers learn about what they want most...information about solving their problem. Don't even for a moment think about making money form them until you have earned their trust.
2) Building a website is not a get rich quick scheme. It could takes months of adding consistent high-quality content before you see the kind of cash-flow you dream about.
3) The only difference between the top 10% money earners and those that wish they were in control of their financial future is in what they do and what they refuse to do. Top 10% money earners do the things most people refuse to do...they refuse to quit.

When you hit a wall, the best thing to do is back up. Take some time to re-evaluate. Reach out to mentors and ask, "What am I missing?" Re-evaluate the strength of your commitment to helping your niche market and re-evaluate how much you truly believe in yourself.

Believe in yourself Magdalena. You can do anything you choose to do. All it takes is desire, discipline and determination to succeed in any endeavor.

I was ready to quit a couple days ago. I actually got a WA referral the very next morning. It just proves that success might be just around the corner. Give it some time and patience. It takes a little while to establish a money making business, but you will have an income coming in if you keep working at it.

Oh no Magdalena, I'm sorry to hear that you are feeling despondent. I think it's perfectly normal for all of us to feel stagnant. I've browsed your website a few times and I must admit you're onto a good thing, it would be a shame if you gave up on it so soon. As difficult as this maybe, try to hang in there, reflect, fire some questions at WA if necessary and then gather your thoughts.

Hi Magdalena, Been there, felt the way you are at my three months but as I found out that what WA was and the value for the money was 2nd to none--- I just keep going and now I am really glad I did

. Now, if it is the monthly payment--- I understand--- If that is it let me know in a PM I may have some thoughts to help with that.

If you need to talk more about anything let me know as well --Just PM Me. Many here have gave you great advise too.

Hi. I think we all hit this brick wall at some point and we have to decide if we will let it beat us or if we will learn to climb over it, go around it, or blast the thing to the four winds.

All kidding aside, if you are considering Boot Camp then this is a great read. Nathaniell was in Las Vegas with Kyle and Carson earlier this year so he knows his stuff. Hope this helps. https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/nathaniell/blog/is-wa-bootcamp-saturated-or-too-competitive

Hey Magda, does this sound familiar? . "i'm going to work towards that mac book. I'll stand on my head if i have to but I will make it happen !". Don't lose site of what you want. The law of attraction says you will get what you believe in and visualize already having. Your thoughts and your feelings create your life.

By the way Shhhhh. This is supposed to be a secret.

Matt

As you probably know 96% of us will fail because the quit due to a lack of patience and engagment. So I really hoped when I met you here, that yoy were one of the 4%. sorry to hear that.

Magda - I'm sorry that you are feeling so disheartened but you only joined back in January. That's a very short time to get a site up and running and experience success.

I don't know whether you have more than one site but I looked at your teething site. You've made a nice start but it hasn't as yet got a huge amount of content - so you couldn't really expect it to be brining you in money. Also I would look at your adverts - some are not really appropriate. There are a lot of things you could be doing with that site.

You could choose a different niche if your current one doesn't excite you or interest you anymore. I think Bootcamp is a challenging option. - but that's just my view.

Best of luck - whatever you decide :) Beverley

Hey miss :) i tested your site and your homepage need 7 second to load this is long and penalise you, you really can improve your result by correcting this :) Install wp total cache plugin or w3 super cache
Sorry english not perfect :)

Be patient , you have to rethink about quitting . It is better you to edit your current sites rather than starting a new niche .

So on Sunday, I received about 7 comments to my website. All under my Lavender essential oil post. I got the first one I was like cool, another one fine. Third one hmmm, all wit

Did you check to see if their IP Addresses are similar?
Ade

Thank You Guys ! I will install recommended plug-ins and see what happens.. if they only purchased from my links, not left spam comments I would not be mad. LOL

Spam will come and go. Look at it as a good thing as they typically only target sites that are ranking. Long as you have some plugins like Askismet or what @RICH mentioned you will be fine.

I'd recommend you install GASP http://wordpress.org/plugins/growmap-anti-spambot-plugin/ which will stop robot spam. Then Akismet https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/training/protect-your-site-from-spam-use-akismet which will stop a lot of the human spammers. :) Rich.

WOW okay --You have it where you must approve it ? If so all you do it trash it or show as spam--let us know how you have it ?

i did mark them as spam and trashed them

How do you guys monetize your websites?

What are your thoughts on clickbank? shareasale? amazon? Adsense?

Which one do you prefer?

Share your thoughts for ever

Look at the commissions. I'm not familiar with shareasale. I'll have to look at that one. Make sure your ads relate directly to your niche is all I can suggest. Amazon will turf you after 90 days if you don't make a sale so maybe don't start with them. The commissions are pretty low with them anyway.

Jim is right in what he suggests. I monetized right away and I found it pretty fruitless. I'm seeing that you are going to need the return visitors that are getting good information from you/your site and they will eventually return the favor by buying the product they need through your site in return.

I hope this helps

techhound, thank you for that.

In regards to PPC and CPI I couldn't say but in regards to affiliate networking it just makes sense for me. One of my sites is all about gluten free baking, cooking and gluten free product reviews. Since this is a bit of a specialty market I want to tell my readers where to get the items or ingredients and I figure why not get a cut. I use amazon and a few specialty food websites. So far it can say amazon makes it really easy and I've yet to see $$$ because my site is new but easy to use links, banners and direct deposit with tracking tools are all nice features of the amazon affiliate setup. Hope someone finds this useful!

robert, gluten free niche has been on my mind for a while now. my mom just went gluten free and dairy free due to health and i am following her footsteps. please leave a link to your page. i will be sure to check it out !

My websites are listed on my profile if you want to see the others but here is the GF link, still needs a lot of work and content ^_^

http://glutenfreestache.com

That was a really good explanation .

Hey Magdalena,

I actually start off without any monetizing strategy whatsoever. Most websites in the beginning, won't get much traffic, if any at all. Google is on the lookout for sites that overly promote. So by not promoting in the beginning, you stay off Google's radar, at least with respect to the promotion aspect of things. When I start to gain traction in the search engines I will start to incorporate monetizing my website.

As for what to include, i.e. ClickBank, Shareasale, etc., it really depends on what your website or mission of your website is all about. It's always a good approach to try and solve problems that visitors to your websites are having. So I don't approach it from the perspective of which offers can I promote but more like I try to match products that will help people solve their problems.

Best Regards,
Jim
