That was the message awaiting me this morning :) I admit I love helping people, even though I am a bit of a loner. Creating and operating a small Pet Hotel on our tiny ranch for 23 years really helped in bringing this canadian 'Turtle' out of her shell. My love of animals, dogs in particular, pushed me into the world of people. In the beginning, I would have been happier if the dogs that stayed with me, could have arrived without their humans in tow. Over the years, I learned a lot from their humans and formed friendships with dog and human alike. Now, being retired from all that, I find myself sitting here in our tiny office, communicating with some of you, and maybe reverting somewhat back to my 'turtle' days. My husband still works as an accountant during the day, so I am alone with my computer, my thoughts and my own critters. My desk faces the front of our garden and the small horse barn. It's a pretty sight, to me, with the leaves on the trees changing colour and falling to the ground. My grown children are all busy with their own careers and lives and that is the way things should be, though I miss them. That brings me back here, with all of you, everyone working hard or intending to. Knowing that, I am not so alone :)
