Banners and Adds not showing on my Computer!!
Greetings all. Frank here. This blog is about me trying to upload Banners and Adds to my web site. Several members have left suggestions and helpful ideas and I really appreciate the help and directions. Boomer checked out my site and told me that all the Banners and Adds I loaded did appear on my website. Mystery to me. Lcadataentry added that I should be sure I had Javascript loaded. Haven't checked but will.
I am new to this computer thing. I retired three years ago and started to try to work on some kind of online business. Well!!! Some one did not tell me the whole truth. I have spent a lot of money and a lot of my retirement time trying to get started. Believe me!! These people that keep telling you this is easy to get into with their systems are way off the mark. I have been in three different programs with training and can tell you they do give support,----IF YOU SPEAK INDIAN!!!!!
OK enough of the rant. I like Wealthy Affiliate and this community. Anyway. My wife(Ginny) tells me I have a large "LEARNING CURVE" ahead of me. Gee. After a couple of years on this computer I should know something. However I have learned real quick this "LEARNING CURVE" Ginny talks about means---I DO NOT KNOW ANYTHING. I guess at 66 it just takes a little longer. Right???
OK OK. I do not understand why I am able to inter my Banners and Adds on my Text (HTML) editor and then view them in my Visual Editor and not be able to see them on my website. Boomer can see them. But I cannot. Maybe Lcadataentry is correct and I need to install Javascript. I will have to see if I have that on my computer. I do now know how to Google questions, and will ask Google about Javascript. But Google gets a little techniqual and I sometimes get lost. Ginny keeps telling I need an IP friend to consult. So far the Wealthy Affiliate family has helped quite a bit.
I am not sure if this is truly a blog or should be some place else. But as Boomer pointed out, there may be other members that have had similar incidents. Lcadataentry said he had the same problem and his answer was Javascript, and it may be as easy as that.
Any thoughts or ideas??? I would welcome any suggestions or ideas.

PS--Central Texas. 6:00 AM---22 degrees Cloudy, Little breeze. Supposed to get to 40 later today, but hey, it is 11:00 AM right now and still 22. 2014 is our year and don't forget about mid terms. If they are incumbent lets---KICK UM OUT

Do you have an ad blocker installed for your browser? I run a program called "AdBlock" and I need to pause it or I don't see any ads when I'm testing my site. :)
I am running an add blocker. I will have to see how to get into my computer and I guess disable the blocker. Thanks..........Frank

This should give you a hand. Also, if you have a page that you have added a banner too where it is not showing (you must publish your page before you can see your banner), then please share the link here and we will be more than happy to help you out.
thank you Kyle. I listened to the the training video and understand widgets enough to add banners and adds to the side bar. If I am able to add to the side bar, then why would I not be able to see the adds I added to my Posts and Pages?? Thanks..........Frank
You will simply do the same thing, but when you insert it into a post/page you want to click into the "text" tab (not visual) to add the code.
Kyle, This is still not working - just so you know. I have a new pc, 2015, and I know how to cut and paste code into the text area, but the banners are still not showing up on the finished page. The code and banner do show on the editor, but after you publish and check the page, the banner isn't there. I've tried numerous and different banners. They are not showing. So, as of Dec 28, 2015, this is still not working right....

I also have the same problem I can't see the image of the banners both on the side bar and on the post. I only see the TiTLE I give to the banner but the image is not there. I have check the link for the javascript, it says it's enabled, somebody help me. I have spent a lot of time on this. I have followed all the videos on this topic here.
