Ok, so I know it's been a while since I posted this question, but I finally figured it out! The youtube video was imbedded in a widget! I have now successfully removed it. Thank you all for your help in this endeavor!

Elegant Theme designers use shortcodes on all their templates. They are little bits of design code that allows developers to add pre-configured buttons, boxes and tabs into pages and posts making design layout easier to accomplish. I presume other template designers use shortcodes as well.

Ok. Thanks for that info! So, the code I see on the page I have is only three lines. There is nothing besides code. Where's all the info that's written ON the page? Is it in a file somewhere that's linked to the code?

Without seeing the site, I can't answer your question. I use short codes on my sites to create buttons and call out boxes, etc. I have a plugin that let's me create them from the Visual editor in Wordpress.

The codes are only a couple of lines long. Here is an example of what my short codes look like [button link="http://www.nameofyour site.com/page-or-post-code-is-linked-to" type="big" color="teal"] Yes! Show Me How![/button]

This code appears on my Visual editor as well as in the HTML editor. On the actual page that visitors see, the code example above produces a big teal colored button that says, "Yes! Show Me How!"

Web visitors can click on the button and be taken to a sales page or post. Hope that helps.

I am curious about not seeing any content on your pages...has it been removed? What's the URL?

So on your site, do you have this code in your editor along with other content? Or is it just the code and no more?

You should be able to remove the YouTube video from the page editor the same way you would remove a word or a sentence.

That's what I thought. But I'm only seeing three lines of code on the editor. The only place I see the video (which is defunct) is on the home page, so I assume that's the page I would edit?

Can you take a screenprint of the page (text tab) and show it to us?

I am helping someone with a (Wordpress) site they acquired... long story... and she needs to change anything related to the old user. We set up a new user for her, and made it a

She needs to be logged in as the new user then she will be able to delete the original administrator. ~Marion

Thanks! I just now found that out!

Opps. Sorry I was wrong. I just checked this on my own Wordpress site. If you log into another administrator account, you CAN delete the original account. Just learned something here myself!!

AHA! That was the problem! I was still logged in under the old user's account. Once I logged in under the new user (an administrator) I was given the option to delete the other! Apparently whatever you're logged in under at the given time cannot be deleted... THANK YOU!

Your welcome. Glad I can be of some help!

You can also change the permissions and downgrade from administrator to subscriber.

Yeah, I tried that but it wouldn't let me change it....

Ok, so I just discovered that I can't be logged in under the old user's account if I want to change anything pertaining to that specific account... once I logged in under the newly created account I was allowed to change permissions on the old account. Thanks for your help!!

You can't delete the main administrator account. That is the original administrator account setup when the wordpress site was first installed. The only thing you can do is change the password. You can change the name but it's a little bit more difficult.
