The Beauty Of Blogging - It Heals!

The most beautiful thing about blogging for me is being able to take something of my life, whether it be good or bad, and share it with the world.

Whenever I have shared something really awful that has happened to me I have found that the process of writing about it has been healing.

When I publish that story I get people contacting me to share their own experiences and this is healing for me and for them.

I recently lost my baby and it has been such a traumatic and sad time in my life. I shared this story on my parenting blog - every little thing. It was my experience uncensored, totally raw with all my pain exposed.

I cried while I wrote it and I cried when I published it and I cried when I shared it on social media and via newsletter.

The responses came flying in from friends, family and strangers. I can't believe how many women have lost a baby - they have shared their own experiences with me and while it has been heart wrenching to listen to their pain I don't feel so alone anymore. The many tears I have cried have helped to wash away some of the pain.

For those of you blogging that are too scared to get real with their blogs - I have shared some of the most intimate things from my life, including my experiences in addiction.

Every time I have shared I have not had any regret - I have received support and love from people all over the world.

It is the most mind-blowing experience.

Thank you too for all the support I have received here, it has been amazing.

Have a great week!

Lynne, Losing a love one or unborn is such a touching and sadden moment and devastating experience.
I must say that, I have lost 2 children, and neither experince were understood. The pain and hurt we encountered is not pretty. It will linger and hurt for a long time my dear, because losing a love ones is just like they are so bonded and attached to our physical self.

I pray that your heart be filled with joy as you continue through the greiving process.

May God Bless you every step of the way!

I am so sorry to hear of your losses Louisa :( I still find the tears flowing regularly but I am sure with time I will find more peace.

Yes, you'll be strengthened as time pass.
Be strong and vigilant.

Thank you for this post, it's just what I needed to remind me about being real, raw and honest with my blog. Sharing grief and loss is definitely a healer, I wish you well with your healing.

Thanks Lynne,
You are one strong woman
And a great inspiration to many of us.

I'm sorry for your loss Lynne. I am glad you were able to blog about it and help other women who felt terribly alone in their grief. Sending you good energy.

Hi Lynne, I have been away from WA for a while and I am so sorry to hear that this happened to you and your family. It is certainly courageous to put it out in your blog post, but such generous support to others who have been through similar experiences.

It just goes to show how the 'quiet majority' of people are decent, caring and supportive and I'm so glad that the community here is made up of such people! I wish you much happiness and success in 2018, Sue :)

Thank you for this post Lynne. Best wishes to you. God bless.

Hi Lynne,

I am not good in describing my feelings... just want to say: respect to You.
It takes courage to share such feelings. I think I will take the advice from your blog and will share more of me experiences.

I am sorry for your loss. Actually it happened last autumn to wife of my very good friend as well. She was in 3rd month. She is OK now.

Anyways, I am sure there are plenty of good things ahead of us.

All the best
Cheers
Mike
